I haven't been able to figure out, how the 'coaching' discussion started

In any case, he doesn't have to do anything conventionally

Even teaching

He has been helping juniors learn so far, each time he pursues perfection, achieves it & openly discusses his thought process. Even the PYC18 pre-SP practice w single jumps and his analysis of 4A counts as teaching

Most imp learning material shared by him has been sharepractice which he intends to repeat regularly

It is as always complicated. To summarise:

Press /interviewers always ask about coaching whenever people retire, pretty generic question for those who have not bothered to research the person being interviewed.

Couple of problems -

Yuzu is not retired, he has changed to professional and is currently engaged with many projects, because he wants to expand rather than constrain his outlook.

Coaching in the regular sense would draw Yuzu back into the clutches of ISU and put him and his students at the mercy of the scoring issues that Yuzu himself has been subjected to. Nobody with a heart or conscience wants to see this ever again. From a personal viewpoint, this type of coaching is too parochial for someone with a galactic intellect and other refined aspirations, that is whole other discussion in itself with no disrespect intended towards hard working coaches.

Yuzu is using his time wisely, to heal and move forward and to present his personal vision of skating and continue to acquire knowledge, skills and other technical challenges. There is also his thesis in AI, the collaboration with top AI team is potentially really interesting for Yuzu's future plans/ideas.

In the meantime Yuzu's destiny seems to be heading in a different direction, at least for the present time.

If Yuzu ever decides that he might offer coaching, it may or may not be directly involved in the technical aspects of figure skating but a more abstract form of coaching, for example forging the mind set for a champion.

Yuzu's demonstrations of the pinnacle of skating are valuable learning materials for any figure skater or coach who possess a receptive attitude.

Yep!

The learner's attitude, circumstances & abilities are equally important

Also dedicated teaching (not 'fastfood-like teen-heavy assembly line w added K&C dramatic seasoning' type) is a separate skill in itself

While his IQ may enable him to quickly assimilate any skill, is it really an optimal use of his existence?

It is atleast a decade(v likely much much more) further into his future, if at all he ever feels like it

Every field can have its idiots, so can sports journalism

And if someone recently asked HANYU YUZURU about coaching while in his senses & not under duress, we've found one of them....🤭

Wow! This is a whole new level of "being in the zone". Someone wrote in the comments that this is basically astral projection. I heard about this before and that some people are capable of doing it. I wouldn't put it past Yuzu to have another "supernatural" skill like this.:meditationf:

According to twt posts. Sekkisei products are sold out in many store. Fans are buying from the official stores and counters in order to reach a threshold spend for the purposes of entering the Gift ticket lottery multiple times. Each receipt must be over 7000 yen spend and from recognised outlets in order to be valid for the competition. Yuzu is promoting skin care sales like no tomorrow. Only 500 seats are available via this method and considering how many shoppers have been purchasing from Sekkissei the odds are most likely very slim.

addendum - only persons with a Japanese address may enter and only certain outlets are recognised for receipt validity, Japanese stores. products purchased via non official outlets are not valid in order to enter the comp.:sadPooh:

Yes, I also saw people posting about this. It's insane. Apparently, a couple of stores started to give customers numbered tickets to manage the crowds. :rubeye:

I wouldn't be surprised if they start doing lotteries for who is allowed to enter a store and purchase products. :10814716:

If there is still anything left to buy, that is, with products being sold out.

The demand for Yuzu is incredible. Imagine if international audiences would also have been allowed to enter the ticket lotteries for Gift. The percentage of winners would probably be 1% or less, instead of the 12-13% that won according to polls.

I also saw a comment from someone saying how jealous they are of the fans of certain other skaters who can actually just buy ice show tickets. :coffeebath:

I really hope this is such a confirmation of Yuzu's popularity that he feels safe to do more ice shows in big venues, as well as in other countries. :ganba:
