Things are happening exactly in the same way it happened at NHK so I think eventually he still withdraws. It's okay to miss Nats. Nothing is more important than his health. He should be patient and focus on recovery.

What character development! He's being slow and patient with his rehabilitation... :tumblr_inline_ncmif5EcBB1rpglid:

He's also updating his progress! (Granted it's prolly to prepare people for his eventual withdrawal).

I seriously doubt he'll repeat Seimei... it's his ideal Olympic program. Repeating it again post PC is out of character.

Yesyesyesyesyesyes! His encore SEIMEI choreo sequence of was so much more dramatic than in competition (tbh it was what I was most looking forward to at NHK.) I need it for to live!

I think they have announced that ligament was damaged from the beginning … I would translate his comment like this:

“It came out that the ligament I hurt was the one which takes more time to heal than a usual sprain. After this, I’m going to get back on the ice and start from just skating, like stroking and doing cross-over using mainly my left foot, and then I would like to gradually increase the load on my feet to be able to do turns on my right foot.”

But I’m not a medical specialist so I'm not sure if such ligament exist…

ngl I was hoping to see Yuzu at Nationals. Happy and healthy Yuzu would be the best Chrismas gift ever. Now it is pretty clear that it is impossible. But it is ok, the important thing is that he is on the way to complete recovery.

Usually I make a wish listening to New Year's chimes. Last year I asked for gold at World Championships. I think I already have my wish for 2018.

I am really grateful that he is updating his progress. Although it is slow it is better to know this than nothing at all.

And no, he will not repeat Seimei, but I can see a return of LGC (or it is my wishful thinking after rewatching GPF version).

The bright side of what's happening now is that the chances of him going to Milano now are incredibly high (or it is my wishful thinking once again ).

I wish he would repeat H&L. But he won't, not after he achieved pure perfection with it. Unless he has some secret desire to achieve pure perfection with it but with the 4Lz as the last jump...

ETA:Maybe in 2020 as a tribute to the new last Miyazaki movie that's expected then...

This is still positive news though. This week is still week 5, and it seems he is being careful. Usually people take longer than expected to fully heal up, so he should be fine. Happy maybe not, bu healthy, sure.

I feel he's very patient and take it easy. He understanded that this injury take longer time to heal and did not rush for on ice training. And the fact that JFS, media and FS expert are supportive and didn't push him to compete play a big part too.  Yes, I'm worried because Oly might be his first comp after 4 months, but Yuzu surprised me and made miracle many times. I believe he'll be fine. Sending all the positive vibe to him

aww poor yuzu :tumblr_inline_n18qr8XewT1qid2nw: glad to hear that he can already skate doing crossovers and stuff.. missing nats is probably the right thing to do now if he's health is not yet back to normal :13877886:

I made a wish on Christmas eve! It's a tradition since I was small that I can ask one wish for Christmas :tumblr_inline_mueoe3Yabh1qdlkyg:

I've never been to FSU...:peekapooh:

And Yuzu is like the super awesome guy whose absence you'll feel strongly when he's gone.

Fan or hater, I think it's fair to say figure skating (men's field) won't be the same without Yuzu. He has become an embodiment of the sports itself, which is why I feel really fortunate to be his fan. :devilYuzu:

Yeah, I fell like during GPF there were those feelings from some commentators and non-fan twitter posts that he is missed :war: Maybe they'll value him more even when he's not at his best (not that I believe in it, humans really have a short memory sometimes)

Seems like Yuzu will WD from Nats - there's too little time left. But better to heal properly.
