AMORE Welcome to Planet Hanyu

OH. So it's confirmed. WELL. I LOVE THE SWAN SO IT'S OKAY.

I didn't want to use such a violent emoticon LOL... but the meaning is: not true! Please watch live whenever you want, I assure you when he will nail it, you will remember it for years and years! Since today I thought I jinxed him if I watched live with others, and brought him luck if I watched him alone... but alas, alone I was, and today was not so lucky. Jinxes don't exist. They are just a manifestation of anxiety

I was going to comment with exactly that!

Yeah, Yuzuru thrives off of it. If there isn't something he's struggling with in a program, he loses concentration and motivation. Dis boy
-
I bet he can't! He has to be, like, two different coaches at the same time, because Javi and Yuzu need two different approaches. Wise choice to separate them.

Little infodump in Max and Angelo's podcast tonight: Max spent 3 minutes teasing Angelo on the fact that there's "One athlete" among three athletes who rotated 4A, whom rotated It "senza la canna" (which I'm not sure if he means without falling or clean landing). He didn't say the name, but he was laughing while Angelo kept saying "we should see it though! We should see!" (Also, they spoke about the fact that he hardly wins qualification competitions for the GPF, which is odd but it's his style: so which Hanyu are we gonna see this weekend?)

Omg? When did he say that?? But he did it like 9/10 at Faoi right? or was that 8/9 lol? In any case... if he rippons, he has it. I'm sure. Oh, I did the mistake of opening that TSL video... and searching for the Yuzuru part...
-
That 4T3T is solid imo. If he messes something up, it'll be the 4Loop. But if he messes that, then... we can say hello to 4Lz in Chopin.
-
I can live with that, bombed short is like -15 points... but clean FS can make up triple that... a la Helsinki. (now look at Yuzu breaking FS world record with clean Seimei... but messing up Chopin and getting just beneath 330...) I'm such a jinxer tonight
-
EEEH HAPPY PHOTOS! And great physical condition! I'm so glad! I was so traumatized when he announced the knee pain before ACI... great physical condition means happiness! Even if he messes his programs up, at least I'll know it was all mental... (Okay, that won't happen. At max, he'll bomb one of the two and revenge with the other. Yuzu is a very balanced person.)

If you like the music and you like what you're doing with it, you're not going to have nightmares about it at all! But you WILL wake up with the music in your mind, go to sleep with the music in your mind, and have it popping up in your mind during pretty much all day This is also why I appreciated so much yesterday's video with Matsuda (that was her name, right?) playing Chopin. Not only she played it beautifully, but it was her own version, it wasn't standard, it wasn't boring, it really had a momentum and soul into it, and made it sound like a completely new, fresh piece. I bet Yuzuru understood this, and appreciated it. That's why he said "I want to skate to this!". By the way, tonight I dreamed that I was skating to Chopin... and I was way better than reality, lol! I, like, did spread eagles and turns and stuff... unreal

Yep. Of course, everything is fine. This is a forum. Everyone is free to speak their minds. But I feel like Yuzuru brings everything to a certain depth of emotion and thinking, and that's what we love about him, so if the discussion stays on a superficial level, and all of that depth gets lost in between the lines... it's truly a pity. Yuzuru doesn't see himself as a celebrity nor as an idol, so I don't like to treat him/see him treated as one. Now I'll stop bugging everyone and be the moralist old lady of the group, sorry lol!
-
Yuzu and that pianist. Please let them... spend some time together I guess lol. She played Chopin so beautifully, I almost cried. And Yuzuru felt her every note. I was really touched by that video. She is an Artist, just like him. I am so happy to have all these new videos! Yuzuru is coming to slay. Good, very good. I have no doubt. Also, I bet all of his rivals see or at least hear part of what he's saying in this interviews... I wonder how the heck can they emotionally respond with that. I mean, it's really hard to try and go head to head with that kind of determination, that kind of passion. Regarding the costumes, I am kinda taken aback by some people here. Don't take this personally, but Yuzuru is a skater, not a fashion model. I find it superficial to put expectations in his costume choices. At least, put expectations on his skating skills, his performance abilities. I know most people here are joking and are not really feeling sad about the absence of costume changes, but... sometimes it's disheartening to come here, see a video of a superb interpretation of Chopin, that really thouches your soul, and instead find... another kind of discussion. Yeah, I kind of echoed what @KatjaThera wrote above me.
-
But he already proved to have changed by breaking that SP world record in ACI... so you never know... My expectations this time around are just enjoying his skating... I just love Chopin and Seimei so much, I want him to enjoy them as well... so my tiny hope is just NOT to see a complete bombing, a la ACI Seimei. I want his mind to be on the game.

I think this is... relevant??

It's interesting how Nathan couldn't afford to keep old programs, lest his lack of progress in skating skills and transitions be too evident - while Yuzuru takes a SP he already did 3 times and a FS he already perfected and the evolution in skating skills and transitions and depth of interpretation are already evident in his first competition. (At least for the SP LOL)

Holy. Perfection exists, and its name is Yuzuru Hanyu.
