  1. Push and pull. Yuzuru knows the best pick up techniques
  2. It must be such a motivational boost to train in the same rink as Yuzuru... I think whatever talent and commitment Gogolev had before starting the training with Orser, it might have doubled now.
  3. Charming or downright scary? Do you think he asked nicely, with a smile and a chuckle, or... "I'm going to land 5 quads in my Free, including 4Lutz. But the news can't be public yet. They will go public when I will decide so."
  4. It's amazing how all those people from the media managed to keep it a secret. It's almost scary how much power does the Overlord have over them! xD
  5. Well this already speaks for itself. Kolyada got 43.something for his SP the other day, Shoma scores, almost regularily now, above that. For me, it's not fair because Shoma works less with his legs. And I don't think Shoma is superior in terms of interpretation, than Kolyada. Plus, I think Kolyada showed that his jumps can really be high quality. His jumps are better than Shoma's... I wouldn't say better than Nathan's, because Nathan is the only one having both Lutz and Flip and they are really great. Kolyada's 3A is better though. Also, out of all three, Shoma is the most consistent one, so it's easier to be impressed by him and give him higher PCS. All in all, I think they are at a similar level, but in my mind, the right order is 1) Kolyada, 2) Chen, and 3) Shoma. ps: Max Ambesi thought that Kolyada's SP deserved 106 (higher PCS). But since it lacked the step before the 4Lz, and that should have penalized him (ideally), in the end, that 103 was kinda accurate anyways (even if the judges didn't know it hahaha)
  6. Also, more love for Han Yan. The other day, Max was saying how the Italian judge gave him 9 in Skating Skills, which he appreciated.
  7. btw, I was thinking - who's betting that Yuzuru will train his 4Lz with Kolyada's landed one yesterday? The camera work is good and the technique of it is just sublime. I bet Yuzuru watched it again and again and used it to motivate his own training. 4Lz, we're waiting for youuuu!
  8. Hahahah well, you could also say there are a lot of Snape around Yuzu... that turn into 'good guys' whenever they feel like it. In any case, Brian can be... Hagrid?
  9. Shouldn't Dumbledore be, like... Dick Button or something?
  10. A bit because he was supposed to be *THE* competition for Yuzuru in NHK... and we know what happens when Yuzu loses motivation to win xD (But I am sure he is already full of Kuyashii because of his silvers). But also because Patrick is in a, well, delicate age... if he starts withdrawing from stuff...starts having recurring injuries/pains that have to do with age, he might not be able to be in a fit condition by Olympics times, right? And that means retiring, basically. A la Plushenko.
  11. His Patronus won't be Pooh? It might get jealous though! xDDDD
  12. I can't wait one week. I want it now. (But I want him to have time to train. Okay. I can wait one week if it means clean 4Lz.)
  13. Sorry if I won't comment on the time reduction, but on the Italian facebook group a comparing video was shared regarding the step preceding the solo jump in the Short Program with Hanyu, Chen, and Uno. In Yuzuru's case: Spread Eagle, quite visible and clear step, immediately preceding the jump. Nathan: I actually... don't see the step? What? Please someone help me. Shoma: I see something that's supposed to be a step, but it doesn't really look like one so meh.
  14. Agree 100%. I sometimes feel at loss when people tell me how much they love Shoma's interpretative skills. I'm like, "where?", but I guess there are many different points of view. I am influenced by my profession, so to me, like many of us here, music is the priority and if there's zero knowledge about what piece you are skating to, it shows. Even if you put on a mask, enter character and give us your best stare.
  15. Well, if it's Tomato soup, then it's okay because tomato is safe... but if it's Paprika soup...
  16. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH SEIMEI IN PURPLE PANTS
  17. I want my White Prince back!
  18. Yes, I thought that too. Then I saw that Swan ending pose at CoR one week ago and I FuCKEN DIED ALL OVER AGAIN. What if he does Requiem with new costume? Or am I asking too much? But more importantly, are you ALLOWED to have that ava? *dies*
  19. I had doubts before but now that I see the countdown... unless he recycles other Ex'es from the past that he already remembers, it's gonna be hard for him to switch Ex'es without robbing practice time from Chopin and Seimei. So, imo he will keep the Swan and you and me both will have a sweet sweet death in just about 10 days
  20. I'm not sure about suggesting anything right now, but one thing I'm certain - it's harder to shorten classical pieces to only 4 minutes, so I really hope Yuzuru and everyone else, after Oly season is finished and warhorses are no more, will opt for new, unheard music, blues or rock or some classical pop (no f*cking dubstep guys, thx). I am really feeling the absence of Prince this year...
  21. I was waiting for my pc to get fixed to go back at it By the way... since NHK's Gala is one of the few with Encores... u know what I'm thinking about... SWAN!SEIMEI IS GONNA KILL US ALL
  22. After messing up with the timing for Men's SP in Skate Canada and losing it live, I'm not going to rest anymore... even if Pooh be my guidance.
  23. TOO MANY COUNTDOWNS IN MY HEAD I don't know what to do anymore in my life if not wait... oh, Zuzu...
  24. What, what.
  25. That is exactly the thing that sets Yuzuru apart from other skaters, I believe. His depth of interpretation was always visible, since he was a junior, and even more after the Tohoku Earthquake of 2011. The challenges he had to face in life made him a stronger person, and that is painfully obvious when you see him skate, and then you see everyone else.
