  1. It's usually the name of the thread for "Next Unread Topic" and the name of the... err, what do you call it? subforum? for the "Go To Topic Listing". For example, when I am viewing "General Yuzuru Chat", under "Next Unread Topic" could be "Costume Talk", and under "Go To Topic Listing" would always be "Yuzuru Hanyu". Or from this subforum, I am viewing "Technical problems", under "Next Unread Topic" should be "Where can I find...?/ Is there a thread for...?", and under "Go To Topic Listing" would always be "Suggestions and Feedback". For the record, this is the same for EVERY theme available at the moment, and in every browser I own: Chrome, Safari, Opera, and Firefox.
  2. Fanyu takeover at Edea SocMed operation.
  3. Please tell me Stephane is getting someone for a more permanent/longer term basis for his elite skaters.
  4. Ouch, now that you point it out, I too have the same problem about the bookmarks. I can't access them anymore.
  5. Hi staff, this is something I notice happened bcz I suck. lol. Just that, now I can't see the "next unread topic" and "go to topic listing". As in, what's usually written underneath them (see red marks). It's not that much of a nuisance, but I usually use those 2 buttons and would like to have it back, if possible. I've checked both in Chrome and Safari, and it's the same in both browsers. Thanks!
  6. That this is our lives is just... Things we do for his majesty...
  7. Take the rest, and get better, really better, soon, Zuzu!!! Ganba!
  8. Truth be told, I don't know where to put this. But since it involves the sighting of my bby Mai-chan... hehehe...
  9. .... Look, I know @wildstrawberry has come out claiming to be the one speaking Zu's 4F! into existence. But this one, THIS ONE, is going to be totally on you. I canNOT believe... Huff! Under spoiler, cz.. it's rather OT...?
  10. My unasked 2 cents as one of those Fanyus who believed Chen won this WC. Do I think that 20+ margin was acceptable? Not in a million years. But did Chen won? Yes. Because Yuzu did make mistakes. We can dispute the UR call on his FS' 4S (I personally think it was borderline, certain other top skaters would only get reduction on GOE), but there is no disputing the pop 4S on the SP. Additionally, would I justifiably claim that Yuzu executed every single elements to perfection on Origin? No, I wouldn't, because he didn't. The narrative that Yuzu wouldn't have won even with 2 clean skates is wrong (even if Yuzu himself claimed this, sorry Zu). But the fact is, both his skates were not clean. And that's why he lost. The score is wrong. But Chen's higher BV PLUS Yuzu's mistakes made him lost. Had Chen came from a slightly less powerful feds and had judges be a bit more competent the score wouldn't have that big of a margin, but Chen would have still won. So, let's see what I believe: 1. Clean back-to-back Yuzu would have won 2. But Yuzu made very costly mistake in SP 3. And his FS wasn't squeaky clean either 4. So, Chen, who made less mistakes that are less costly, won. Even if the margin is an absolute bullshit. 5. I am bitter about it. I want Yuzu to win, but I know he lost, albeit with way smaller margin. I don't think I'm being a fanatical Fanyu or an overly-rational-hence-a-travesty-of-a-fanyu about this. I am just being reasonable, even if my heart is screaming in pain.
  11. The medal is really pretty! So is Mai!!!
  12. It was really something to watch that live.
  13. Yikes. This selection. I hope Samodurova continues placing highest among them.
  14. I want to know what restaurant they went to. @Winnie_20 where is this? Does your friend know?
  15. Based on landing, about the same. The take off of counterclockwise 4Lz requires the right foot to be the picking foot, which gives momentum for the jump. While in 4Lo, that does not happen. So, 4Lz puts more strain on the right foot.
  16. Quick, in the 2nd picture, is there Zuzu?
  17. You are indeed being pedantic, which is fine. Notice that I never claim the one I posted was accurate either? Or that I never call it an 'accuracy comparison'? Yeah. My point of posting it was so that people can have different information to think about; not just the one seemingly 'official'. Part of it because I am anticipating cooked up comparisons of his jumps to those of certain other skaters, like they attempted last year. Edited to add: Hmm... I sure hope this is only plausible for quads and triples. Cz for triples and doubles, if this is also true, that'd be pretty sad. That said, I would still think that the size of the jumps as you add more rotation have to be somewhat bigger (longer across and higher), with the exception of skaters who rely on rotational speed alone. You either rotate faster or jump bigger. I concede that for the axel jumps, there are all possibilities that it could be as big or even bigger than the one-more-rotation version of the other types (2A vs non-axel triples, 3A vs non-axel quads). I might not know anything tho. I only studied applied math and I sure as hell didn't compute these things.
  18. and @Old Cat Lady That's why it's a comparison... I find it hard to believe that his 4S will be of less length (and height-the twitter thread counted the height of the jump at 77+cm) than his 3A. I don't really know how Ice Scope works as well (is this the work of Ice Scope even?), but from the picture, it looks like the camera angle is slightly slanted.
  19. A comparison, since I do not think that's accurate:
  20. I don't know how she could continue in the sport and make her skating as effortless when battling this disease. Sounds absolutely painful. Makes me even more grateful for her presence every time she takes to the ice.
  21. The bolded part. I don't really know whether it's needed or not, but perhaps worth trying?
