Random but I don’t know why I suddenly watched Plush’s Nijinsky program again and it really is a masterpiece. Although I wonder, what was the choreography inspired by? Since as far as I am aware there isn’t any actual footage of Vaslav Nijinsky’s dancing, is there?

It’s insane how be managed to juggle school, skating and idol training all at once! I don’t think he officially announced his retirement, but in a recent interview (I can’t find the video now) he was asked whether he will consider returning to figure skating if he didn’t get to debut. He answered “I don’t think I can go back”... not sure what that meant, maybe he’s had too many injuries? It amazes me because he started doing 3A in competition only fairly recently, meaning he learnt it while already training as an idol 😱 As for Jun... I won’t be surprised if he enters the entertainment industry after he retires too! Considering after Beijing 2022 he will still only be 20. Of course, I’ve no idea if he plans to stop after Beijing, or if he plans to continue after that

Sunghoon’s debut is confirmed! He and 6 other boys will debut as a band “Enhypen” His last appearance in competition as a skater in Korean Nationals here ^ before he leaves the ice for the stage :’)

I kinda agree with you. It’s perhaps too idealistic to picture TCC as a true “family” but based on what I see I do think the coaches and skaters there are on good terms and supportive of one another. And yes professional relationships can certainly be warm and supportive! Classic examples: doctor-patient and teacher-student And I think I’ll be more surprised if you told me Yuzu has never ever gotten into disagreements with his coaches, when they’ve been working together for 8 years...

I think iirc Dmitri Aliev also said something about trying to avoid Yuzu’s eyes right? Yeah I don’t think there’s anyone in the skating community that Yuzu is on bad terms with? Not that we know of, at least.

He really has an intense glare, I've never seen him in person but I imagine it must be intimidating if you were competing against him!
