Shoma Vs Nathan in Grenoble could be interesting And Kolyada got Yuzu again in both GPs. This is consistency. -

Guys, I don't refresh anything. That increases our chances to get a glimpse at the assignments before the system collapses like last year -

2019/2020 Season Program Announcements

Is it just me or did Boyang's skating skills make a huge step forward?! A lot of one-foot-skating, nice deep edges, great flow... I love it. -

Poll: How many quads/3As will be attempted/ successfully landed at GPF/ Worlds next season in the men's/ ladies' event? It's really spooky, if you think about it... The assignments will be very interesting this time. -
So, it makes sense for him to stay in Japan this week, if that's a livestream, aye?
-
Finally... the gender is right. But the ages... is that fishnet-magic? Poor Javi couldn't be detected by the program xD [Uploaded by myself on imgur]

This. Is the attitude of a real superstar. When you really care for all the fans, who brought you this fame. No matter what a great athlete you are - without loyal fans, who spread your greatness in the world, your achievements will remain unknown. Sometimes I stumble across a fringe sport and think: Why have I never heard of this incredible talent before?! That's really sad actually. Figure skating and every other competitive sport is an entertainment event as well and the audience wants to get something for the money. Of course you're disappointed, when your fav (and everyone else) is doing some halfhearted stuff, especially when the ticket prices are skyrocketing and it costs you a monthly salary to watch a competition live. Yuzu always gives 120% and you can be sure that he delivers. Even with mistakes there are so many other things that make an event worth its price and that's why he's so special both as an athlete and a star. I'm sure, when he injured himself and had to withdraw from so many tournaments, it shattered his heart twice. It was the physical pain and uncertainty of his own skating future, but also the disappointment of all the fans who bought tickets and travelled around the globe to watch him

By bet for the first post on page #5000: Btw: I've said, the media black hole is responsible that the FaOI Kobe show thread has turned into a second Yuzu chat... We can go even further now: The Yuzu chat starts to turn into a second Space Junk

Okay, at least my memory did not betray me: it has been called an old blue bathrobe in this thread already
-
Wait. Is that the blue bathrobe? In this pic it looks so harmless and great

THIS. Is absolutely amazing.

I think, we should wait what his EX will be. Some people sighed when the news of POTO 2.0 came out and now Masquerade is their favorite program. It might be the same with his new EX, too. Whatever it is I'm not surprised about the 4A practice tbh. No matter how bad the ice conditions are, Yuzu's 3A success rate at this year's FaOI is not the best according to his standards, so there had to be something else that caused him trouble. I hope that the 4A and 3A can make peace with each other in time before the new season starts. I still believe that baby 3A is Yuzu's strongest weapon and a competition winner with its insane quality and consistency. Would be really sad, if he had to fight for that gorgeous jump in the future... However, it's great to hear that he made friends with the 4Lz and it's even better that his 4T is an absolute bank now: solo or combo or sequence, first half or second half, good ice or bad ice. He lands it everywhere. Really cool Hopefully that sprain of his left ankle is not too serious. Yuzu always reminds us not to worry about him and believe in him, but he's testing us every week now...
-
I should get used to it, but... How can Yuzu have such a muscular chest and slim waist at the same time?
-
Thank you! Aye, now I can see the Hiragana, too. The first pic was a bit blurry. So his signature means "from Hanyu, the figure skater", aye?
-
Am I correct? Yuzu's signature is now a mix of Kanji (surname) and Katakana (first name) + mini skating boot? That is lovely This is a bit OT, but can anyone relate?
-
What I like most about Yuzu is his helping hand, concern and care for others in any kind of situation. He helps to clean up the ice with the staff members, he helps other skaters with their jumps, even if he has to focus on his own competition (I have to remember how he watched Deniss in Saitama), he worries about the supply and comfort of the audience, he helps journalists during the press con with their devices, he cheers for his team mates and buddies during a competition, he spends millions of Yen on the reconstruction of his hometown and the surrounding areas, he remembers, credits and pays tribute to the people who helped and supported him... That is real greatness and character. Yuzu had every opportunity to turn into the biggest idiot and join the madness of the high society, but - thank God - he didn't. He never considered himself too good for anything but stayed on the ground with both feet. Considering his stellar success, financial assets and popularity... this is a miracle.

The new Lz is huge, but I don't think the difference is THAT big. At COR the camera follows his jump and swings upwards after the take-off while the FaOI perspective barely changes. So the two footages are difficult to compare.
-
Whatever the exact height is, it's definitely higher than most competitive 4Lz's from the 18/19 season, aye? I hope that Yuzu can fix the landing. It would be some hell of a jump. The attempt at COR practice on the right is still one of my all-time favorite 4Lz's. Only Kolyada's and Boyang's beauties could impress me like that.

I have to relativize here a little bit. No other program from any skater in the +3-system scored better average GOE on successful elements than LGC. Nearly all spins received over 1.00 of maximum 1.50 (that means +2 or +3). 6 of 7 step sequences were called LV4 and he got maximum 2.10 GOE four times! 2.00 in average, which is nearly perfect. His GPF SP received 10.00 three times (from JPN and FRA) despite that shaky 4Lo at the beginning. Even Lorrie Parker gave him +3 for the sequence and 9.75 for performance and... THAT is quite something In Helsinki he got two 10.00 (from ITA and FRA), although he had to skate first and made that costly mistake in the combo. Not a single PCS in the 8's. So you really can't say that the judges didn't like it. I'm sure that a clean version would've scored around 113.

Of course the Y-spiral can be 100% his own idea, no doubt about that I just think, it's not unlikely that some daily studies or practice jokes gave him an impulse to bring it back. No more, no less The 4Lz and POTO are another cup of tea and I think this is hard to compare... Back to the topic: FaOI was a joy to watch and I'm looking forward to Yuzu bringing down the house in Sendai next weekend. I'm sure, he has prepared something special for his home crowd
