Yeah, I’m not, even though my rink is open. Which sucks, because I’m off work for a week (just because Worlds cancels doesn’t mean my PTO cancelled) unless the situation deteriorates to the point where I have to come back early, and I wish I could spend some of that time skating.

Every time someone skates to I’m Kissing You with vocals, I’m relieved that R&J 1.0 was in the no vocals allowed era.

Look, I wasn't going to say the Origin 2.0 ACI costume reveal was one of my favorite moments of the season. But now that someone's brought it up, it was most certainly at least in the top 5. Unless you're referring to how I got a little panicky when I realized I'd accidentally booked a plane seat one row behind Yuzu and you kind of had to remind me to breathe in the Kelowna airport. That was definitely the most panic-inducing Yuzu-related moment of the season...

Being in the arena for that near-clean Origin at Skate Canada. The atmosphere was absolutely electric.

And ACI is Yuzucon. No assigned seating, sit with your friends... at least you have some support for when he does things like 4A or wears something like Origin 2.0.

You're making us choose between PW and Masquerade? At the beginning of the season, Masquerade, no question. But after seeing PW live at Skate Canada this question is impossible! I lived through the pistol pose directed at my section, how am I supposed to vote against it now???

Well, I wasn't around for the 17-18 drought, but I lived through 18-19. Things are going to get very silly around here as we go through Yuzu withdrawals. Fair warning.

Right, but once they declare this season over, 17-18 means nothing, they'll be calculating based on 20-21 (100%), 19-20 (100%), and 18-19 (70%). So Nathan not doing any ISU championships or Challengers really hurts him until he can start adding points for 20-21, while Yuzu skated a full season, so he has the points from ACI and 4CC as well as the GP series (which is all Nathan has). Samarin has 3046... so far he's the last one I've calculated, but I have him in second. No idea if someone will go in front of him.

Yes, but after the end of the season, everything moves down a row... so 2019-2020 is 100%, 2018-2019 is 70%, and 2017-2018 drops off the list entirely. So, because Nathan didn't go to 4CC, he doesn't have any ISU championship results from this season. (GPF is counted under Grand Prix results.) If my math's right, Yuzu will have 3786 points to Nate's 2880. And just eyeballing it, I don't think anyone else will be able to catch him.

October 2020 is already the Grand Prix next season. That's not a realistic plan and they know it.

Is there somewhere for us to submit a bracket to guess what the votes will be, or is this more just out of curiosity to see which programs come out on top? There's a scoring system and I have a huge competitive streak, so... gotta know if this is a competition before I start voting for some of my less-popular faves! At least the truly impossible choices aren't coming until the second round... (But seriously. Justice for the trashbag pants.)

One of my coworkers fell down the Yuzu-watching rabbit hole until midnight last night - now she keeps popping into my office to show me pictures she likes so I can tell her what my favorite version of that program is to watch. She keeps going "but the way he moves...." So far over lunch we've watched 4CC Ballade, GPF LGC, and Worlds R&J 1.0. This is easily the most fun I've had at work in a while. (She also framed a picture of Etude and put it on my desk to find this morning... I think the bug bit her hard.)
