What will be Yuzuru Hanyu's EX program for the 19/20 season?
tafattsbarn replied to Henni147's topic in Yuzuru Hanyu
I voted for Masquerade even though i know that's nothing but wishful thinking .-. Realistically, i think he will choose to go full on environmentally friendly and do Haru yo koi (which i don't mind since i loved that program), and if he doesn't then i think he will go for Crystal memories (which i would rather he didn't because i can't stand the vocals and pronounciation, sorry). Maybe if i had to be slightly delulu but still realistic Let's go crazy would be an option (i still remember him saying during some olympic(? around that 2017/2018 mark at least) interviews that it was still unfinished business). I really don't mind any of the options though i would prefer it if he did crystal memories without the vocals.- 65 replies

Yeah, viasat bought the rights for the Nordic countries so it'll probably be blocked here too. It's really expensive when you just watch figure skating though so i'd rather invest in a good vpn or use proxtube and still watch through youtube. Oh, 4.99€ for eurosport sounds like a dream, viasat is like $30 a month. Of course that includes other winter sports, but it's kind of useless when you only watch figure skating.

The simplest way is as usual to use a VPN, proxy server or smart DNS (with a paid, as opposed to free, VPN being the safest and most secure option of the three). You can also access geoblocked content through ToR if you understand how to navigate that c: Edit: How did i forget to mention proxtube :0 Anyways, proxtube is one of the simplest ways to remove geoblocking on youtube :>

There are ways to get around that though :> I'm happy there will be a stable (fingers crossed) option for everyone now! Credit where credit is due to the ISU for this one. They could do one better if the competitions were archived so you could go back and watch. Regardless though, this will hopefully help make the sport much more accessible.

How can these two come from the same team of stylists? What kind of internal turmoil were they going through This also reinforces my need for Yuzu to put himself in more boots on the daily :>

I'm forever greatful to the two kind japanese ladies that approached me after the competitions in Helsinki GP just to hand over some clear-files I don't know if i looked particularly sad about everything being over or what, because they didn't have to do what they did at all and yet they went out of their way. They made my whole trip there worth it beyond belief, i felt so so happy It really made me want to do something similar for someone the next time i attend a competition, as to spread the joy they gave me to others!

I'm just ;-; if he's serious about not letting origin go until he lands the 4A. I love origin, don't get me wrong, but i'm not sure i want that program for 3 or more straight seasons A boy has got to do what a boy has got to do to be satisfied though i guess

I actually would love for him to do these kinds of things. It doesn't have to be a scientific research paper, but just some really in depth skating talk about different jumps, elements and the process of aquiring these from him would be amazing. I always love when he gets really nerdy and particular about skating things (or anything he's passionate about, really).

Yeah... That has always been my understanding but i get confused due to the coordinated teams that exist that just write wiki pages for fun. There's obviously some kind of community, and for some reason it feels like intruding into an unfamiliar space where you're not sure you're welcomed or wanted. I'm being silly though, so i'll just get going c: Got no time to waste, Yuzu deserves a beautiful wiki page

Sometimes i wonder what Yuzu truly thinks of these cf costumes... I assume it would be pretty hilarious to have a running Yuzu commentary everytime one gets revealed What is up with the japanese stylists/cordis obsessions with frills anyways? It's not only in cfs, but in ice shows too... I would much rather costumes have no movement than some of the random frills they attach (because that must be the purpose, right? To create movement and silhouette?). Wow, you've done a great job! This is how tragic the swedish wiki page for Yuzu looks... It's actually kind of painful to stare at for longer than a few seconds at a time (not that it would take even 10 to read through the whole thing). The only positive is that the picture they've used is adorable (albeit very old, so even that needs to be updated). I've been thinking of trying to write a more comprehensive page for him for almost a year now, but have never actually made any real attempts due to how unfamiliar i am with how editing a wiki page works. I don't even know if any old bloke can just edit or if you need permission. Nevermind understanding how to properly format everything so that it looks nice and clean. I really want to improve the page though, because like i said it is simply tragic right now and doesn't even come close to doing any kind of justice towards his ability and reputation as an athlete. Do you have any tips and tricks of the trade? Or just simple advice as to how to get started and what to prioritize? (Also, official call to any other Fanyus that are fluent or near fluent in Swedish that would want to help me edit his page ).

Tell me about it! I spent the day trying to figure out how the ticketing system for the olympics works ;-; Beijing 2022 here i come i guess?

Oh wow, i completely missed this as well! That's pretty darn amazing c: Don't even get me started on how some of his past step sequences were deemed LV3's... I'll go on for hours '-' Completely agree. Lately i've watched competitions that my grandma taped a long time ago with her explaining the judging to me (she used to compete locally under the old judging) and it was a complete shit show. No matter how unfair the system is now, i have no doubt that the new one is one of the factors that has allowed Yuzuru to prosper and grow the way he has and i wouldn't change that for anything.

Awesome! Oooooo, nice to see him having Skate Canada again. It's been a while. Hmmphhh, his ankle will legit give stress migraines until the end of my days i guess '-' Never truly knowing... It kills, ah... Oh wow, the 4A and 5T developments are exciting and nervewracking at the same time! Thank you for entertaining my tiny questions, i very much appreciate it

Hi! I haven't been active here for a looooong time now and frankly i haven't followed much of the off season in fs (or the tail end of last season) due to a personal mental health crisis. But i just woke up as if from a fever dream with the knowledge that ACI 2019 must've just taken place and i had a sneaking suspicion Yuzuru had competed (lo' and behold he had haha, my yuzu instincts are truly on point) and though i plan on backtracking this and other threads a bit to get a better understanding of what i've missed i just have a few quick questions: Yuzu is competing this season right? Which grand prix events was he assigned to? How has it been on the injury front? Is he and his ankle okay? How is the jumping looking, what has he been doing and what has he not been doing? Anything out of the ordinary or just the same old? Anything else major or important that i should know...? I also wanted to say that it feels really nice to be able to come here and know that a Yuzu loving community as warm and friendly as this one exists and is waiting when one gets one's shit together haha. I really appreciate it c: Okay so i'm off to backtracking now i guess

We truly do v-v My heart is content just after seeing a tiny blurry Zuzu standing about. What have i become

God i haven't posted here in forever :0 Just like most of you, i also trust that Yuzu (especially) but also Brian will do what's best and if they say he's ready then he is, in whatever way they mean it. It's not necessary to speculate, i trust his judgement.

I feel so lucky to be able to witness Yuzuru's strength and be along for his journey Rest well Yuzu
