Okay, maybe a weird question, but do we know how well off Yuzu's family is/was? It seems as if they have/had quite a bit of money (seeing as they were able to support his skating hobby/career and he was able to get braces which are very expensive in japan). I don't even know why i'm wondering, i just got curious.

Not gonna lie though, atlas beetles are pretty rad. Not only do they look incredibly awesome, but they're incredibly strong and their larvae is fierce as any. It's a great choice of favourite bug, i wonder if he has changed his mind in recent years though Adding this to my list of questions i need answered. (i like bugs, i'm sorry)

I just wanted to thank you all for taking my HP house question seriously (for 10 pages, yikes... lmao), i loved reading through it haha (also, the sorting hat chats take on it is interesting, sparked a convo in my friend group so thanks to whoever shared that )

This is a valid point. I think the line between what is self preservation and what is selflessness is very narrow, and it's easy to fall somewhere inbetween. I still wouldn't go so far as saying he's a gryffindor, i think his other characteristics outweigh his gryffindor ones. I'm also not sure if him doing stupidly reckless things, such as skating while injured, is fueled by a sense of duty or justice toward himself or his admirer's. I think it might be a blend of both, which would make the water murkier than it already seems to be. Alas, we will never truly know unless we ask for a detailed analysis made by none other than the man himself. Besides, who knows, he might not even have watched HP, at which point this discussion becomes even more pointless lmao. It was nice discussing things though haha.

It's true that slytherin's often value self preservation. I think Phineas Nigellus explained this well when he told Harry in The Order of the Phoenix, "We Slytherins are brave, yes, but not stupid. For instance, when given the choice, we will always choose to save our own necks". A slytherin wouldn't always sacrifice themselves for the good of the community, as other houses seem willing to do. Striving for your own ambitions looks selfish, guiltlessly so even, but that is still an admirable trait.

An intellectual Hmmm, I do agree that he gives gryffindor vibes at times, but i think they're more on the slytherin side of the coin (gryffindor and slytherin are very alike after all, and this can be said for the other houses as well). It's not that he's a trickster, because he's not, but i think it's his pure ambition, loyalty and cunningness that rules him over to slytherin side. I also think his knack for self preservation makes him very inherently slytherin, because there is often where the difference lies between the houses. They're just based on things i might not value as greatly (in the color that they are presented in that is, many of the houses are based on the same values but from different angles). This makes the houses seem lesser to me, but i do recognize that they have great qualities as well and might not be lesser in someone elses eyes.

I'll pray for you both just kidding, despite the tough hand life has dealt you, you're both deserving of love ♡

Btw, do we know which Hogwarts house Yuzu identifies with? This is the things we really need to know. As long as he's not a gryffindor (or a hufflepuff...) everything will still align in the world. (I'm a Slytherin)

Honestly, Yuzu's got great eyebrows Thank you gladi, i've been waiting for this haha Dude, literally me a few days ago, i almost spat out my water and went "Oh god, please no, he's haunting me" lmao ATLA is such a great show though, you got taste The hate on different skaters and fandoms is so stupid and i thought i would be able to escape it when i entered a figure skating one but a few months in the thick of it has proven that all fandoms truly are the same. All i can do is roll my eyes at people that behave that way.

Honestly, Yuzu has some of the best costumes i've ever seen in figure skating, most are absolutely breathtakingly gorgeous, especially lately. Although he's had some... less than beautiful ones as well lmao still can't stand most of his earlier costumes, they just looked like loose rags on him lmao... So i definitely share that sentiment.

It's definitely better to not be involved if you want to keep a healthy mindset. The comments are... a far cry from sanity most times. Idk wether he would want to be asked or not (obviously since i don't know him lmao) but as a person that doesn't use SNS much (if at all, i haven't posted any pictures since 2016 and exclusively use twitter lol) i would definitely want to know when things get posted of me. Then again he's a public figure so maybe he doesn't care? Or it might make him care even more since he wouldn't want people to post controversial things/pictures about him. We'll never know, but i'm grateful that people in his vicinity give us updates of him every now and then, hopefully they're consensual.
