Is Yuna Kim the ONLY single skater in history so far to be never off podium? (only count from when GPs started, cuz before that there were too few comps, like Dick Button was never off podium too but he only skated 1/2 comps per year so I don't think it would be valid). I've tried to search with big names as far back into history as I can rmb but there's no one. Plus I don't know when NHK, SC etc. even started so I'm not so sure.

Plush def knew russian skating inside out so its not that hard to predict the weather and pick the one with stronger momentum at that time aka Alina. Rmb that their scores in PC were SO close it all depended on the judge. About Yuzu's case, i feel he picked Yuzu purely from his long time trust and belief in Yuzu's strength rather than some psychic ability. Plush, even before PC, has always talked highly about Yuzu. Not any top young skater but only Yuzu. Plus i think he knew his words are very important to yuzu, who admired him for lifetime, so saying things like yuzu can win 4 olympics might be a great encouragement to Yuzu.

I swear the first time I saw his pics (on ice ofc), and I hadn't known anything about him, I thought this guy was beautiful but his aura was cold/aloof, seems like the one to go his way and not want to involve with others.

Now I just realize, they pair same girls for both of their GPs: Sasha vs Zhenya (SC and CoR) Anna vs Liza (SKAM and CoC) Alyona vs Alina (IdF and NHK) I know 3A won't go against each other to maximize their winning chance. But why put others to compete with the same girl TWICE

That's why I said no podcast is "fair", but ppl always expect them to be fair. I'm not sure about their intention, but seems like they have good reputation from the start and many fans trust their opinions? Yikes. You can complain on their websites or PM, and see how they perceive. If they can accept criticism and adjust, it's good, otherwise, just ignore.

Yeah, most ppl start watching skating with those commentary, they are brainwashed even before getting to know anything about skating. Ofc ppl can complain about their podcasts. I just feel the more serious ppl take it, the more attention it gets, which isn't worth it. Like I hope ppl should just stop listening to TSL, but well, they'd rather listen to it and complain than stop giving them views

"Fun" for some ppl, prob they think it's fun to talk about. It's not like they make podcasts exclusively for Fanyus. If you take it serious ofc it's not "fun". But as I said, don't take it serious. Why take podcast and commentary serious when they are not from the start? The nature of media is attention seeking. It's not worth taking it serious and bring it into discussion. Like with TSL, NBC, or any commentary, it's best just to acknowledge its bad intention and ignore.

ITL are made by fans and all of their talks so far have been just about their own opinions, NEITHER technically focused NOR about "fair" scoring. So you just take it for fun. There's no podcast or commentary that's completely/rather fair. I don't take any podcast/commentary seriously. I'm not sure why ppl like that (none of them is fair btw), except you wanna hear ppl shower skaters with excessive compliments (which I don't buy lol).

Now I just choose randomly, close eyes and let my hand move wherever it wants . It's smarter NOT to go into his galaxy brain

Great taste. I love Yuzu's spins in Etude too. It's one of the best Yuzu's programs (and best costumes too) yet so underrated. I hope he brings it back in one of the gala this season, given he just did PW

They can't let go of their golden cash cow . And I think they know well skater like Yuzu is once in a lifetime for the sport. I'm not positive there will be another skater with such popularity in a longggg time (ofc they can have loyal fans but not at THIS lvl). As a fan thou, I just want him to produce his own shows (yes "Continue with Wings" series!), and cut off all ties with ISU after retirement. They are rotten, no need to stay for extra fake awards.

Still can't believe he goes with last option: Something else (because... [insert plausible reason or troll] ) Thou I must've known so well, he's the trolling lord that's never failed in this aspect

Sponsorship and commercial model isn't Yuzu's priority. Yuzu's always known to limit his endorsements to the minimum throughout his career. Must know that he's the national star of Jpn, where everything is capitalized, if he wanted, his name could've been on millions of products there. He spent all his prize money and profit of his books for donation, apparently money and fame isn't his concern.I don't know why ppl think he's waiting for endorsement calls? I'm pretty sure it's Yuzu who chose to stay away from such things and only accept a few brands that go well with his image and has positive influence on Jpn society.

Just how many eras have past and he's still here competing! Top lady changed but the top man is still the same

Whenever he mentions about quitting I'm very sadddddd. Now he still has that BIG goal of 4A so that might not happen soon. But that day will come, I don't know at all how to face it
