While i honestly feel it's too much for ppl to jump to his ig to express their anger in the concern of "protecting" Yuzu. All fans worried for him, but its still necessary to keep a distance from Yuzu and his team and their rls. Whatever happened in GPF, he and his team will sort out themselves, it's his life, and none of fans' business, i don't think Yuzu needs any of that concern.

I'd rather Yuzu didn't take any award (refusing to attend the Award is better even), didnt give ISU any credit. A glimpse at the figure skating stars in the future? Now only Japan can give the skaters some 'star' power given their strong interest in the sport and business/marketing involvement in FS. ISU cant make any star.

Yuzu seems to really like dramatic/fast-paced pieces (he himself chose POTO/Origin/LGC, and showed interest with Winter/Don Quixote etc.), I appreciate that but the sad fact is he never skated them clean:(. Hope Yuzu realized that and makes wise choice next season.

I dont think there's any official measurement to rank athletes objectively and anyone can have their own opinion on it. For me 2) + 3) should work. 2) for their dominance at certain time and 3) for longevity. And not all major comps weigh the same. U can't put Olympic gold at same lvl as other golds or 4CC/EC golds with GPF/Worlds golds. Yuzu hasn't retired, he can still achieve more, let's see how much he'll have achieved at the end of his career. Honestly i believe if Yuzu wants to, he can have the longest career with most medals. If counting next Worlds' medal, he's alr men's skater with most medals at Worlds. And he hasnt retired yet! Talk about longevity.

Uh thats a bit of a reach. I mean he never skated clean 2 programs in Olympics, in his first GPs, in B-comps either... 3 years between worlds titles dont make a rule as he only got 2. He called SC and 4CC a curse cuz he NEVER won it, despite 3 tries, so it's kinda unlucky. The only curse still left now might be skating in China, 4 times without winning lol

Some ppl can have allergy to N95 masks (skin rash), I advise you try it first before bringing to Worlds. Otherwise surgical masks will work just as well in the crowd, N95 is only essential when you're in direct contact with infected patients.

C'mon do ppl really think they do this Award to "expand the popularity of the sport"?. Imagine u dont follow ice hockey, do u care if they hold an award with some local celebrities? Nah it doesnt do any popularity at all, it's all about squeezing money from Yuzu's large fanbase aka ppl willing to pay. Without the Awards i suppose tickets wont be so pricey they need a way for "added value" even if no one wants. They have to exploit while we are still here, that's it.

This sport is so GROSS like, it's not even a sport. Medals are saved for chosen ones, you can't even attend the event if you're not in their BIG plan . They'd rather throw money on bullsh*t awards party than allow a few more skaters to skate like just WOW

The first time i properly watched FS is Yuna's James Bond in Vancouver and it was great! Then i got to know Yuzu and other skaters and watched a lot of skates. When i'm more invested i got more picky and now just watch skaters i like in my free time. I watch Mao, Yulia, Caro most among retired skaters, Kaori, Alyona and Tomoe Kawabata among current skaters. I love skaters with great flow!

Yeah after all the main reason for FS's popularity is it's a performing arts. If u want to see jumps, u can watch gymnastics, def more exciting will all kinds of jumps. But only FS is a mix of jumps and dance and performance and music. Now pp still rewatch Mao, Yuna, Yagudin, Plushenko even we're in a fever of quad becuz what they look for is iconic choreo and performance, in the future, ppl will rewatch FS for the same reason.

Fun fact: Yuzu could break 113 if judge had give him perfect GOE for 3 jumps in 4CC, no need higher GOEs on other elements or higher PCs. But ofc they didn't. Another fun fact: The best 4T3T Yuzu has ever done (in 4CC SP) is around 0.5 shy from max GOE, same as Chen's 4F3T GOE in GPF => apparently in judge eyes 2 combos have the same quality, just 0.5pt from perfection. What annoyed me most is not Chen's score is always inflated, but how it gets suddenly MOST inflated, like thru the roof in major comps (GPF, Worlds). Judge is so desperate for him to win those titles, they are so afraid he might lose to Yuzu with just "usual" inflation. Non-fans dont understand why Fanyu still complains when Yuzu alr got WR. Well judge underscored this new WR so it can be easily broken later.
