there kind of is transparency in judging now... in the sense that they aren't anonymous anymore. the problem is that nothing is being done about the blatant bias and unfairness. I'm just like at all the changes the ISU is trying to throw at the mess that is fs judging.The solution is literally so easy but yet for some reason is never put into action: BE FREAKING FAIR WITH THE JUDGING. like seriously. its not so hard.

I actually think this is something that would mean A LOT to Yuzu. His love for Japan and how part of the reason he's always motivates is his people, I suspect that this award of all things would be especially meaningful to him.

Well. To be fair if someone actually does know figure skating, and just preferentially prefers the jumping elements then.... *Shrug* her opinion.

. . . . Nathan could not currently be the further from Yuzu's style of skater. So I personally feel that if Yuzu's fans flock to Nathan after he retires, then maybe they weren't really into Yuzu as a skater, but just because he was on top.

watch us all be totally resigned and accepting of Yuzu not going to Worlds and then SURPRISE he announces he is...... it would be such a Yuzu thing to happen. defying all expectations.

I wonder.... part of me wonders whether he was a lot further along in his 4A preparation pre-injury than we thought he was.... a part of me thinks he MEANT for it to come out this coming next season, but that now probably not.

I actually really hope not. And not for any of the heartwarming feels we get from all the squish and fluff. Purely for the sake of his skating. Brian has reiterated many times how Yuzu can be too hyperfocused, and I think that that actually hinders him and his improvement. If he can balance this relaxed and happy in skating mentality with his drive and determination, I feel that it will only be all the better for his skating.

I actually feel that's it more the parallel between the huge kpop fandoms and huge Yuzu fandom and the understandable overlap of young teenage girl fans. To me Yuzu looks quite different from a typical kpop idol, and actually the more "masculine" faces is quite popular as well.

Do you guys think Yuzu's tried a quint before? Prior to the injury, I honestly thought we would likely see at least solid attempts at 4A next season (though maybe the more experienced of you would disagree, and probably with very good reasons). Now... I don't know.... In two seasons time maybe?
