i'm scrolling through tumblr and oh gosh... what is with all these newbie Yuzu fans who just found him from Olys who are not speculating and asking around about his crushes and love life?? a part of me is like..., awwww thats adorable you're all so screwed you have no idea what you've gotten yourself into. and the other part of me is like ..... why on earth in the face of all that talent and drive and heartbreaking determination is your first question about his love life??

From the tweet it says "discussion with the doctor took three hours" Obviously everything with a grain of salt since we nothing is official or confirmed.

Literally the only "facts" we know are about the choosing a particular doctor thing (which honestly I find pretty silly unless that doctor also happens to specialise in sports injuries. Or not he would just have to refer him to a sports specialist), and the three hour long consultation. Three hour long consultations aren't normal. As a medical student, hearing it took that long is actually quite worrying. It means it wasn't an easy to accept result but one that require an extremely detailed discussion about rehabilitation options and future options. Also just to point out doctors can't stop Yuzuru from doing anything. All they can do is advise. Patient autonomy rules. If he still decides to do it against their advice, all they can do is work with him to minimise consequences.

Gotta say though I kinda doubt the truth of the story because how would anyone know what was said in a confidential doctor-patient interview?

could I please have the link to the translated video for Max's commentary of Yuzu's Oly programmes? I'm tried to back track here and in the Yuzuru News and Updates where things normally are but I can't seem to find it.

oh yeah i meant total medals. Yuzu has 2 individual gold and 1 team gold (so both 3 OGM and 3 total). Plushenko has (as you said) 2 gold and 2 silver in total.

i just realised something random. Yuzu has three Olympic gold medals. The record so far is Gillis Grafstrom and Plushenko with four each. If Yuzu stays for one more Olympics he might just join their ranks (and even beat them if he also participates in team event).

It's amusing how people like us (some figure skaters, some just people interested in skating, NONE of us "experts" by any means) can think of really easy and straightforward methods to achieve what they say they want. #Logic Like I fell we're all yelling at ISU like " COME ON ITS NOT THAT DIFFICULT WHAT ARE YOU DOING WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT THAT HELPS NOTHING IT JUST CAUSES MORE TROUBLE... etc etc" and my favourite "JUST ACTUALLY JUDGE ACCORDING TO THE RULEBOOK AND STOP BEING BIASED AND HALF YOUR PROBLEMS ARE GONE DANGGIT"

Oh I don't doubt the way it'll be used as a tactic as you described. But from the skaters and coaches point of view, suddenly official practices become a legitamately possible avenue to boost PCS. Before practices didn't count, only those minutes in the actual competition counted. How you think they will use that rule? P.s. I don't mean to sound like I'm attacking anyone. I'm just really mad. But not at you, at the situation and at ISU

You do realise with the *judges can judge PCS off official practices" all that's going to happen is that official practices will become a pre-competition competition?? Skaters will start doing a FULL and actually go for it run through. Essentially doing double the amount of programmes per competition .....

Honestly his spread eagles are basically my favourite of almost everything he does... Yes even the jumps! There's just something so.... Beautiful and elegant and serene about them. I just about died when he did that HUMONGOUS one during the second practice pre-Oly as he was going to bow....

I think it'll depend on his ankle. He might go for later ones to maximise post-rehab training time. While he took three weeks to get ready for Oly, that was with programmes he had ingrained into his mind and body. I'm guessing new for next season, so my guess is later comps
