CHILD. I STAN AN ACTUAL CHILD. I absolutely love this interview!! Gives us such insight into Yuzu's outlook and thoughts stepping into this Olympics! WHAT IS GRAVITY WHAT IS PHYSICS ?!?! (also lol the expressions of the girls at the board.... we know girls... we know....) Yuzu is interacting SO DANG MUCH with the other skaters, AND I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please keep happy cheerful playful Yuzu around forever!! His ultra focused isolating himself to practice more is impressive, but gosh.... I am LIVING for these interactions, he's so comfortable and happy!! NESSIE ALERT NESSIE ALERT (not that it hasn't already be blaring)

Tbh Yuzu was very clearly not as fast or as sharp or as forceful as his Seimei normally is..... It was still a good skate, and the only reason it is even something to note is because of how he NORMALLY does it - that unbelievable strength and speed is distinctly Yuzuru. Obviously now we know why, and its amazing that he even did what he did.

Completely agree. To me I stick with my initial impression of him on those days. Genuinely happy to be back on the ice. That matches with what he was saying about primarily being thankful he could be skating at the Olympics at all.

I know we all keep reminding ourselves that it's not the practices that count, but the actual skate, but a part of me feels that in this particular case it matters exceedingly much. Not about what Yuzu actually lands or doesn't, but about his mood, his mental state. The condition he's in right now of relaxation and just joy in skating, is the best possible condition to be going into the Olympics! I can't remember Yuzu ever being in this state and attitude, so I honestly don't think we can necessarily be basing on his previous patterns. It's almost like a new Yuzu! I'm excited to see what is coming!
