Thing about these naming things is that it doesn't really work unless the move starts getting used beyond that one skater, and people still refer back to Yuzu. Then people will be like, oh he's/she's doing a Hanyu Lunge or a Hanyublade etc. But since the hydroblade gives no marks thats really unlikely. And I don't recall anyone else doing the Hanyu Lunge? Sorry for pouring cold water on the dreams and excitation!

I wonder whether Yuzu will ever create a move that catches on and gets named after him. (since it doesn't look like anyone else is interested in doing that leg over head sit spin thing ) That would be so cool. Imagine future skaters doing the Yuzuru or the Hanyu.

Don't forget that a clean Yuzuru Hanyu this season will almost certainly be raising the WR's. So even higher to beat. On the slim chance that any of them beat it before he raises it, its only going to last until Yuzu skates clean. Then BOOM its back to Yuzu

I love The Swan to bits and pieces and beyond, so yes by all means I would love it to come back at some point. But for THIS season I'm really really hoping for a new ex! Yuzu I want at least one new content~~~!!

Thank you! I think I see what you mean. Ironically, wouldn't these skaters probably be getting more money as competitive amateur skaters then professionals? Lol I shudder to think how much Yuzu earns from all his advertising contracts, books etc.

Lol I'm in the same boat! That's the thing that confuses me. How is doing ice shows etc more professional than competing?

Should have used the beautiful ACI 17 SP protocol. That was a thing of beauty and so satisfying to look at.

This might sound really stupid, but how is it that competing in Olympics, World's etc doesn't make your profession 'figure skater' ? How are they 'amateurs' who 'go pro' when they retire? That's always confused me.... Also, hey! I'm still taller than Yuzu! i have mixed feelings about that.....

It looks like he's sort of hunched over and in and craning his neck forward? You know when you're all cuddled up and am trying to look at something in front of you in the distance? To me it doesn't look so unnatural that it looks photoshopped.
