THIS THIS is so true! Almost everyone seems to compare every skate Yuzu does to his best, which is understandable but quite unfair and ilogical.

Maybe it'll be another case of the combo salchow. flub it all season then nail it in the most breathtaking way possible in the most incredible free skate we've ever seen. Although obviously my wish would be for him to land it clean this Sunday!!

I normally say it's cause he chooses to do them out of such bloody hard transitions etc that even a small error in speed/angle etc throws the whole thing off, but idk......

I'm actually quite surprised that he isn't highest in terms of height and/or rotational speed for the 3A. I mean, there is a reason why almost everyone thinks he's going to be the one to land the 4A.

He sounds like a stubborn, quite narrow minded, person who doesn't quite understand (or maybe just accept) this glorious notion of PREFERENCE. Things can be beautiful and artistic even when they aren't to your particular tastes. But then again, he is an man from a different era.... "Have you seen his tapes?" LOL Brian was so SNARKY!!

"ONLY silver" Lol the way i put it to my friends was: "This guy is top of the field. When he's injured or makes a mistake he gets freaking SILVER. He skated after a horrendous crash, and STILL ended up second". Its all about perspective. >< I know most of us almost have Yuzu like tunnel vision where anything not gold is a horrible outcome, but honestly when you think about it in perspective, this is a guy who basically bounces between gold and silver, a feat most skaters can only dream of.

Lol Yuzu has flat hat hair Glad to see that happy smile though he looks relaxed instead of hyper focused. That's good! P.S. : I've always thought that what Yuzu is really fighting is himself. Not even in the sense of beating his own records, but his greatest enemy is his mental state, stress and anxiety. Skating relaxed and clean, he's currently unbeatable.

But if he does do LGC, if he finally skates it clean all will be forgiven!!! (Though I sincerely doubt he will do his hardest SP ever as an ex whn he hasn't been practicing it regularly, one can always dream right?)

I think its kinda an immature pride thing for me that given he's the only one in the top 6 who didn't win a gold in his first comp, i'm aching for him to get a gold here (over another top 6!) just to cement that he going into this Olympic season not just a contender, but the one to beat! But like I said, I'm aware its a really illogical, immature purely pride driven sentiment, and my logical side knows that really isn't whats really truly important in the big picture. It's hard to argue with emotions sometimes though.....

This is really random and out of no where and probably fueled by being practically drunk off a marathon of Yuzu youtube videos, but GODDMAN IT I CANNOT WAIT TO SEE HIM LAND THAT 4A!!!!!!!

I kind of hope he doesn't announce it in advance or anything and just debuts it in competition. Mostly because if it gets announced and hyped then the pressure will be ++++ and that might affect him actually landing it. But the likelihood of him keeping his layout secret prior to comp is fairly unlikely..... so.... oh well

Its the Asian thing. Not only do we look ridiculously young for our age (to western counterparts), but most of us just like... not age between 18 to 30's? Haha when I got to the UK I was 20. They asked then if I was 16/17. I'm now 25, and they still ask if I'm 16/7. but also

And to think this was way back in 2013! His technique and strength has only improved since then, so imagine what they are like now! Wish we had a sideways (?) fancam of H&L Helsinki for comparison!
