Me today trying to explain to people around me why figure skating isn't just about the jumps. And even when there are jumps, it's not just about landing the jump. --> Them: . . . . .but he (the other skater) had more jumps / he didn't fall. And it still looks good /it all looks the same. I have to say, reading all of these old comments in hind sight of what Yuzuru is now and what he has accomplished is so fun!

I'm just taking a step back and marvelling at how on earth have we've gotten to a time when "yeah Yuzu is going to jump Nessie" is the given.....

I kinda wish they had uploaded his flawless SP first >< His FS is amazing, but you KNOW there are going to be idiots who are like, "his jumps weren't perfect how did he win??" whereas there is literally nothing they could say about his SP

Yuzu's fandom proportional to every other figure skaters is just ridiculously huge and there are many other amazing skaters who don't get nearly enough recognition unfortunately. But the costumes thing had me esp given they used a Chopin picture and just.... LOL

Kind of makes you wonder who's going to be inspired by Yuzuru Hanyu, and Javier Fernandez in the future (I know there already are though) and just what kind of programmes will come out of that

But also, watching that fetus Yuzu clip was like... Woahhhhh even from that young his skating matching the music was really good.... Even then he wasn't skating TO the music, he was embodying the music! Something I still struggle to find in many current senior skaters ..... (And even sometimes amongst the top of the sport)

Can you imagine how much better a programme this would be if he does it now?? His choreographic/step sequences would be amazing!!

OMG FETUS YUZU WITH SING SING SING HOW HAVE I NEVER SEEN THAT BEFORE?! And while LGC wasn't what I had in mind for "light and bubbly", but I would LOVE for him to do something similar oh gosh that's basically my favourite programme (shame we never got a fully clean version.... ) it's just so strong and powerful and his interpretation was AMAZING!! Every beat every move! Beautiful!

Has he ever done anything really bubbly and fun? I'm trying to imagine him doing that and I can't Which is a little given his adorable off ice personality

"rest" typically means some kind of brace and no weight bearing (aka crutches etc). but they will still want to make sure the joint doesn't stiffen up, especially in his case, so they will show him simple light movements that he'll still do. Early physiotherapy is the way to go. "rehab" will be when he starts working it more, gradually increasing the strength and work load to build things back up.

I mean, of couse YAY REST AND RECOVER first and foremost. But yeah.... here are my other complicated feelings: I can't wait to see Yuzu's 4Loop next season again!!! I have missed her so much!! Also, the recovery and rehab time sound like the perfect amount of time for him to start planning BRAND NEW PROGRAMMES FOR NEXT SEASON!!!

Actually I was just thinking that maybe the situation with his ankle is just one of those borderline cases. Which would explain the three hour doctors consultation. So maybe they really don't know yet. Maybe Yuzu is having to consider and weigh things up. Or maybe they are just being asses Yeah that's probable as well.

well if those bids weren't fake they'll just explode again lol. we'll see. I'm going to laugh if it just goes right back up to tens of millions. who knows... maybe there really are fans that rich and crazy. Never underestimate Yuzuru Hanyu (fans)
