If skater A is consistently jumping higher and farther, and also rotating faster, than skater B; and skater B jumps quads; then plain logic dictates that skater A must be jumping almost-quints. Because skater A simply has to have more rotations in a jump than skater B in such a situation, since otherwise, they're staying airborne in space while simply fluttering their wings after completing the four rotations.

Totally agree. I am ready to sacrifice my sanity. At least I would be if I hadn't already lost it somewhere along the way.

I'm making a specific provision in my will that I want a wake, and at my wake I want his jump onto the podium played every half an hour.

It is all great for him. I suppose we must sacrifice our sanity for the greater good.

OT But tangentially kind of Yuzu-ish, they have actually released warning not to eat those little detergent pods in the US.

I would recommend not taking the full horse dose, just in case.

I wonder if rescue remedy works for humans.

Ikr, just the waiting is making me die a little each day. I'll need smelling salts and very strong whiskey to be able to watch through my fingers covering my face, like I watch horror movies.

Sooper seekrit instastory sent to an admin's inbox, just to hydrate us.

They're all putting a stopper on all leaks and not letting any news through, and when there is a small leak (like the lady who tweeted), they counter it with snippets like this. GAHHH I wish we could get soooper seekrit message to help us breathe. Won't say a word to anybody, promise!

At this point, a lot of what we hear will be PR, too. They're not going to tell us anything they don't want everybody to know. We're just doooomed to wait and dry out.

Knowing how extra he is, that might mean that he has been back in training to his desired level for about a week. (You just know that his desired level will include that 4Lz. My animosity towards that 4Lz is back with a vengeance.)

Did I forget to thank you for this after I followed the link? I think I did. Thank you!!

Yuzuru's chances at the Olympics: second OGM
WinForPooh replied to KatjaThera's topic in Yuzuru Hanyu
About the Olympic experience, I'd like to add, specifically, his experience in the free skate at Sochi. That was when he was under pressure as the leader. It was his to lose, he felt the pressure as the real gold contender instead of a first timer who needed to justify his inclusion by doing as well as he could and podium. He didn't do his best under that pressure. He would've been going into PC with an amplified version of that kind of pressure, but being out of the public eye and Nathan being hailed as the favourite now means he has just a little bit less of that pressure now - as if he suddenly has something to prove again. I think that free skate has been burning in his mind as the thing he could not overcome and the thing he must overcome now. That's kuyashii to fuel a couple of first world countries. That is a pro in my book. Also, about Nathan: Look, I know it's been a difficult season for everybody but there have been soooo many excuses for every time he faltered, from sickness to boots to his haircut. I'm sure he has dealt with some stuff, like all skaters have, like Yuzu would have multiple times without a soul knowing. Some of that is PR covering for him feeling the pressure. I think he might do reasonably well under pressure at PC and skate well, but flawless? No excuses will matter then. That is not technically about Yuzu, but we haven't actually seen a completely clean and really great free skate from the man billed to take the OGM despite his undefeated season. If anything, his 4F UR has become more obvious and his 3A has become wobblier. He cannot beat a clean Yuzu. The only real question is, can Yuzu go as close to clean as possible when it counts? If he can, then nothing else will matter. If he lands two quads and a 3A in his short, and his 4/5 quads and two 3As in the free without bombing a combo, there is nobody who can beat him. -
It's honestly scary, reading these quotes. How much he opens himself, how much determination he has, how focused and how intent he is - there is so much potential for so much pain. It's very brave of him to choose to live that way. But it makes me want to light a million candles for him even if I'm basically agnostic. I mean, if there's a chance, then why not...

So we've had more confirmation that TCC is excellent at handling recovery of all kinds. Go Yuzu!!!

Might as well do it well, then... Her Yuzu-kitty video is extremely helpful during this dry cacti time, too! Guaranteed only squish moments, no popping up of disturbing and sad images without warning for any dramatic effect. I consider those videos excellent compensation for my PR services.

I can confirm that @SparkleSalad's compilation will make any Yuzu-3A-stan very very happy.

He does have a way of doing that. Don't worry, you're doing just fine. I was watching his R+J1, and then watched H&L, and boy, how much he has grown! The noodly bb has become much sturdier.

Sending all good wishes to your grandpa, he'll be showered with healing thoughts and positivity from the planet. Breathe deeply while looking at my sig to find a little inner peace.

Thank you for doing this, @kaerb! Sending loads of appreciation your way.

3A as second jump makes it a sequence which has lower BV, doesn't it? But that does not make any sense to me either so as long as we're redoing the rules, we'll scrap that too. Oooh, imagine if the reverse-Zayak competition could happen after he lands Nessie, it would be incredible!

Noooooo That footage again!

Damn it, the lad has made me cry YET AGAIN.
