  1. @Murieleirum I hate to impose, but you speak Italian, right? I was wondering if Max has been saying anything interesting about Yuzu? I haven't heard much so far.
  2. Daily Fail with their sidebar of shame and shouty headlines is annoying, too. Their website landing page is enough to make me sigh and switch tabs. I should try their sports stuff, maybe. The G's quality dropped drastically a couple of years ago. There are a lot of pieces that seem to be straight from authors' publicists, musicians' publicists and so on, run as is, without a paid content tag (maybe it's free to fill space, who knows!). I never noticed it for sports before. Maybe that's because I'm a casual viewer of everything but football and figure skating, and sometimes gymnastics. They can't get away with it in football, they'd get screamed at too much. Clickbait is obvious clickbait and there's plenty of it, but this laziness is rare in football coverage. But who knows, I might've read similar pieces about other athletes and not even known how much lying by omission I was getting! The coverage from their actual sports journalists is still decent, though. I don't think they have one of those for figure skating. But that piece with its casual Yuzu mention, Boyang-Javi-Shoma erasure and all was very, very misleading and lazy. People btl who said they're casual viewers were more informed than the editors, apparently.
  3. The Graun fired all their subeditors and are running puff pieces straight from publicists. Or so it seems, that Nathan Chen one really annoyed me. The comments, though, were more about Yuzu.
  4. Thank you, mods and admins for everything you do! Actually, I was thinking a separate Yuzu-Olympics-Fluff-and-Practice thread might work the other way - so we can find stuff about other skaters' arrivals and practice easier lol. Fluff thread has obviously and of course exploded. Finding out how Javi did is going to take a while!
  5. I wish I could change my name here to Leaky Eyes or Tear Dispenser or Crier Extraordinaire. I cannot stop. This boy.
  6. That troll. Seeing him skate has made me so happy I feel like I could toss out a casual 3A. I absolutely couldn't, I've never skated in my life and I'm a klutz. But I feel like I could in spirit.
  7. Junkies-R-Us OT I've made my sister promise to watch with me. In different cities, but still...
  8. TCC and their training and conditioning will be right in our minds all the time, even if we can't spare any brain cells to plan how to express our gratitude. What brain cells I can spare, I need to function. For the poll, I suggest making it as practical as possible. The form - a book (binder or not), a banner, a trophy (or whatever else it could be). Once that's decided, the details should be easier, right? Though if it is a book, you could always do a nice hardbound version of messages printed out from satellites who won't be at Milan, with blank pages after that so that those who do come to Milan can write theirs in personally. Use the meet-up page to set up a time and place at the venue, use PH twitter and facebook to let that be known, maybe retweeted by satellites with followers in the FS community. Risk of empty pages, though, so maybe setting it up as an event and seeing how many people are interested, then adding a few more pages to be safe, might be an option. If it's a banner, you could actually do the same thing if whoever does the collage of messages (or one big message surrounded by signatures, or names of satellites and places they're from, to let them know just how global the gratitude is) can make sure there's space for more people to add their own when they're at Milan. But that kind of risks getting the banner a little messy, so I don't know... You might have guessed I won't vote for the trophy lol Expense/fragility/potential tackiness all make me shy away from that even if it's a great idea in theory.
  9. I guess the additional runthroughs burn a lot of energy. And he's not a big eater.
  10. I spent all of family lunch refreshing Planet! They're amused. I'm ecstatic. He's landed! The Swan has landed!
  11. We're like a bunch of junkies who were put in rehab against our will and can almost see the door opening again. *sigh*
  12. Wow, this is like waiting with bated breath for the appearance of The Prince That Was Promised. It's unreal. I can feel the tension of thousands of people holding their breath in anticipation.
  13. He looks tired but ready. He's obviously working hard and he looks fit. Those arms - they definitely have more muscle. What will his new muscles do to the Seimei costume now?
  14. *sigh* I'm becoming a very dehydrated cactus from all the crying. I can't even claim invisible aliens chopping their strange onions, it's me. It's just me. My eyes have sprung leaks. That video is just so sweet. And sincere.
  15. I wonder if he's all packed. Special attention paid to Seimei gloves, I hope.
  16. Plushenko is so nice about Yuzu! *cue more waterworks from me* The swan hasn't landed yet, has he? The Feb 9 thing was a false alert?
  17. Ah, that hard cover thing with the possibility of extra pages inside looks so cool, if there was a collage of some sort in it. A trophy or something would be nice, too, and so would a medal, but with medals, we'd miss out many people who're behind the scenes and really important to keeping it all ticking so the skaters can do their best. Medals can't be shared. And a trophy might be expensive if it's going to look nice. Though with medals, we can't possibly do worse than certain GP organisers. Banner might be easier to do but it would be more of a during-event thing, rather than a keepsake for them.
  18. I also need to make more swans and cranes after the disasters this morning. Who's with me? More swans! More cranes! More! As Extra as the Overlord!
  19. Oh god my tear glands have been activated, now I'll be crying over everything for a week and a half!
  20. It is possible that Brian is casting doubt on the 4Lo because it sounds quite plausible (we're mostly believing it, aren't we), and it makes the idea of a clean Yuzu across two skates quite likely. That would prompt any gold contender with undecided layout to realise that they do absolutely need to go clean. It's the only way to beat a clean Yuzu. That might make them consider using a lower BV layout as their main plan, with anything else as backup. And then Yuzu might do the 4Lo anyway. Possible. Is it likely that he's trying a kind of double bluff like that? I dunno, might depend on just how much the TCC erasure annoyed Brian, I suppose.
  21. Especially annoying when it's just Nathan's second year and he has SO MUCH potential to be so good if he stays till the next Olympics. Boyang, Shoma (thrice) and Javi have beaten Nathan's top score this season (other than US Nats). Nathan is not a shoo-in for the gold even without Yuzu.
  22. Ah, we could say thank you in our native languages - it would be like thank you from many parts of the globe. That would mean writing it, taking a photo and uploading it, and then printing it out to bind it. And a foreword explaining just what the messages inside mean lol. Even if there are multiple ones of the same language (as there would be), different handwritings would make it look different. But this would probably a lot of work for whoever puts it all together in the end...
  23. Are you in my head, because I just thought that when I saw @MrPudding's sig again!
