  1. No Zhenya at Nepela this season, so yeah, probably ACI then for her (and Jason).
  2. It really was a snip snip day I love it. Where is @Fay? Not quite a pixie cut but something! I wonder how she'll style her hair from now on, for competitions as all her usual is impossible.
  3. That too! Toothbrushes? Gone. Beer? Gone. Tickets? *crickets*
  4. They probably went something like, ah we already have this layer prepared from before, nobody will be able to tell the difference anyway ... except his legions of dedicated fans ... but yes. So, they're being cost effective?
  5. Oh yes, that goes without saying. Knock on wood, I'm hoping in general this season is going to be less iffy in terms of injuries, considering it's not the Olympic season so the stress might be somewhat less too. It really was particularly bad. So in that sense I'm glad folks like Sui/Han are taking a bigger break to fully heal. If we can add one more thing, then hopefully less grey hairs for us too!
  6. Yes. 110% yes. Me: with that exact poster there. Though you probably shouldn't have said anything there because Fate just giggled and tomorrow we'll get a new pic from Jason where we manage to identify Yuzuru's knee. We did say anything after all. Woo.
  7. AOT is not the best lullaby! And as long as we don't start biting due to impatience! Seriously though, that'd be a neat thing to skate to, would be neat, especially with a glorious costume to boot.
  8. Did he get eaten?
  9. It may sound weird but at this point, they might as well? What I mean is, it is so frustrating to me that this is happening, especially as we know he wouldn't be having this issue if the Korean fed wasn't in shambles as it is, so in some weird way I would actually respect brutal honestly of that type more. Say how it is and put him, and everyone else, out of their misery. It's brutal yes, but at the same time, you don't hope in vain that maybe this time it'll be different.
  10. Seriously though, he actually says he is only wearing it because it's for children's cancer research.
  11. Yes, you can decline but he forfeits the possibility of two spots then. I think he'll say yes no matter what. Which is why this situation is so unfair. The SA spot should have been his; he is the one who is ahead on the list, not Reynolds. Meh.
  12. I've been asking myself the exact same thing and right? He does look taller. Goodness.
  13. They will, this is simply how things are. If we had a penny for every single wish we had when it comes to rectifying this mess, we'd all be billionaires by now. It's how skating functions, it's same old same old. But I would actually say it was worse in the 6.0 system. It's not fab now, but I would say it is better. Zu has somewhat of a protection zone around him, what with the double OGM now, knock on wood, repeatedly, so they can't completely mess with him. If he actually does bring out Nessie, then that'll really put the cat among the pigeons. I cannot say that it doesn't make me sigh for some of the younger skaters coming up and I truly do feel for them, especially if we're talking smaller feds. But at least we'll talk about it and as long as we do, it's out in the open and we're poking the status quo.
  14. Reynolds and Chartrand got the SA assignments, instead of Jorik and Rajicova. I won't comment because it really won't be pretty. Anyway, what's left is the spot Rajicova had in Helsinki but Helsinki also has a TBD so maybe Jun can get that one. And of course Eunsoo in the exact same boat, they're both being skipped over. @Moria Polonius The late Denis Ten was supposed to be at CoR so the thing is, we don't know right now if they will actually fill that one or leave it open.
  15. Of course we will but at least it'll be exciting and pretty instead of a set everything on fire from frustration type of thing
  16. *slowly puts away pointy and flammable things* Honestly Yuzuru just needs to give us proper things to talk about, like his programs of course, otherwise we'll end up setting the planet on fire.
  17. That would be some mighty, mighty kuyashii driving him but who knows what new things he may do due to it...
  18. And considering the day, we're going to kick off with exactly a week to go! Please join us
  19. JGP of course, there's something special about that one. Yuzuru's everything. Whatever meltdowns we end up having that hopefully do not include him so I can bring out the popcorn (it's skating, there are always meltdowns. Including my own) And definitely looking forward seeing how the new rules are going to be applied. It will drive me crazy but I really do want to see it.
  20. Might be indeed but shuffling them around isn't all that easy either, guess we have to wait and see. It is curious.
  21. Knock on wood, he should be fine even if it takes a bit for the free/overall. Especially if they make even the slightest effort to actually score as they should. I found it funny, way back Rus Eurosport who have had some really good commentaries about him in nice detail spoke during the GPF 2015 how for him +3 isn't enough and +5 is more his. I am really curious not going to lie to see how this now pans out in reality because not many should satisfy the requirements. But. (I actually remember that because they were so put out they didn't fully let the 3A replay run as they wanted to explain the exit too and went on to huff how the Spanish TV peeps obviously don't know figure skating )
  22. If you've jinxed some Black swan routine now ....
  23. Both new programs, with who knows what in the layouts so I don't know but I'd bet on the SP before I'd bet on the FS. Fingers crossed! It's certainly going to be exciting. And he's not going to be happy not to have his name up there! Lombardia really shouldn't be a Challenger, or anything really, but what can we do.
  24. It is strange, and it's not a small difference either +2 I think, unless they tried it and it really wasn't working out, so they switched it for the 2A that is more stable.
  25. Considering Lombardia, and the insane scoring there, more than likely we'll get something that will hold for a bit in both men and ladies. Unless Zu repeats his ACI pancake. In general, I am very pleased his records in this old system will remain as they are. Now he can be all kuyashii and work on the new ones forever and ever, amen. Um, nvm.
