It really is an unfortunate situation this time around. I've hoped for Brian to go with Yuzuru as I think he actually isn't going to have an easy time at all. 2 seasons of missing due to health, trying to regain it, Dai back, his past history of being somewhat dodgy at this time, and NHK last time with no Brian, etc ... so while I would have understood, I am actually pleased this is how it got resolved. But yes, RusNats are Hunger Games really, so since Zhenya seems to be doing ok with DW too, I hope DW can go with Tracy as well so that she can have that. Tracy is actually no slouch herself, on the contrary and she's probably the best equipped at TCC to give her the mental support which I do think will be the most important aspect of Nats for Zhenya. She needs to hold steady as we'll be seeing Trusova and co there too.

Ha, I actually won a bet there. It seemed pretty likely to me even when the initial announcement came out. I am not sure what to say. If she's simply done with competing then happy sailing Kaet. She's achieved so much already and if she's feeling fulfilled, good luck to her in the future. But if she's not done then this is not so smart. As the current WCH she had a lot to gain, while next season, it's the quad babies turning Seniors. We've seen how it's not ideal to take these breaks, Chiddy for one is a major example. Ah well.

Oh that's interesting. Tbh I really did expect he'd go with her but this is good too. He'll be with her to break the ice, and she gets along with DW well too it seems and then for Rus Nats, the dragon ladies will take the stage.

@Mastyaeva I wish, but I am afraid most of mine probably went poof when I said Zu will go to CoR. Still, that's rather good news, I'm really pleased for him. Any news on who is doing the choreo? That has been someone of a problem, he keeps sticking to Olga but I do feel like he needs a change. Not long to wait indeed.

If it's any consolation, there was only one international judge on that panel and all the others were locals. I don't hold out much hope but I still think best to wait for the CS to resume properly and then we'll have a better idea.
