Well let's just say I was learning a bad toe loop technique for a few months...and it took me like 6 months to fix it. It's a single toe loop. Meanwhile it look me about a month to learn the loop from scratch with (good, according to coaches here) technique. I'm not a top skater, so it might be easier for them to fix bad technique. But then again they are doing quads and triples, so it might actually be harder.

politics haha! after she became us champion, her jumps stopped getting called... she usually URs her -3T because her 3Lz is sooo big and beautiful. Pity...hope she would fix the problem because otherwise she would be the complete package.

Yes but given his build, which is a bit stockier/shorter than other guys', I think he may just physically be unable to do quads with good technique. Didn't Satoko say because of her build, she can't just higher? But then you have Karen Chen, who is also 4'11", which has the biggest jumps in the world? I don't know Nathan, so not sure what his actual thoughts are, but he did change his mind a bit and say he wanted to go to UC (Riverside?) in order to keep training with Raf, so it really depends. Would be a shame if he retired because he does have great jumps and potential for great musicality. (He just needs to put it all together! ) Yes, can't wait for Boyang at 2022 Beijing Olympics, I think he will be one of the favorites... Poor Adian

yeah he never went for 5 quads in the FS either...he had to YOLO some quads but that was only bc he missed one. if he hadn't missed one, he wouldn't have YOLOd any

Sorry, we shoulda posted an explanation. So we've never had a case like this before and we hid it because we didn't want it to spiral while still trying to decide what to do On one hand, I don't think this is the place to call out antis, especially some (extremely) negative, non-constructive posts, but on the other hand, not seeing the post (but knowing it existed) is sure to be distressing too. But I'm not really sure putting things in spoiler tags will really solve the problem here either. So the post has just been hidden, not deleted, until we come up with better rules/course of action to take... And it wasn't @Yukiko Sakae's fault at all, her post was perfectly respectful, just to clear that up, because I realize it was unclear. ETA (because don't want to bump the thread with this topic again): I removed the picture of the tweet and the twitter user handle, and put Yukiko's post in a spoiler tag.
