Can you try again? I looked at our tmp folder and it seems like there's nothing much in it right now. And I clicked edit on your post and there's no more error unlike before. So maybe this time it will work? To anyone, if you get the error code again, can you point me to where you get it? Then I can try to pinpoint the source of the error. Maybe it's the tmp folder not clearing itself frequently enough. If I can recreate the error or check as soon as we get an error it will be easier to see...

He could take a part time course load...most schools will allow you to take literally forever to graduate if you have a good reason. I have a friend who literally took every other year off of school for no real reason and she's graduating 4 years late but she's still graduating. And I have some friends who took off 2-3 years for work and that's fine too. They might not give you financial aid for all those years, but he doesn't need it... He *could* delay matriculation as well, but I can see him doing that for 1-2 years and not for a whole 4+ years. But based on other factors, I highly doubt, given his current strategy, that he's aiming for a long-term career, but I could be wrong. As we can see with Polina Edmunds, frosh year of college is literally the best time of your life. Having to balance that with skating will probably prove to be a challenge for all but the most motivated skaters...

Hello @asahi Welcome to Planet Hanyu! We aren't opening threads for individual skaters because that's not what our forum is for and we won't have the manpower to moderate them. But we do have threads where you can post about all other skaters, including one for Shoma and the rest of Team Japan. I've moved the posts there (well, here now). Thank you for your cooperation!

i think i missed this joke @robin @Hydroblade please explain

I think most people have a preferred orientation, i.e. counterclockwise or clockwise. That's why some skaters jump CCW and some skaters jump CW...it applies to things like crossovers and 3-turns too...and going backwards makes it even harder!

I have a poster of the first one on my fridge... So probably not new

Clockwise backwards crossovers were by far the hardest for me...I couldn't really do them even after skating (casually tho) for a year. The thing that really forced me to learn them was that they were the entry to my spins...

Spot, yes, is pretty much guaranteed but momentum for OGM is important too.

This is so unfair to Zhenya. Not just her injury, injuries are always unfair, but how much RusFed is pushing the other girls' PCS as if she's expendable, and they can just replace her. Well, I guess to them any skater is expendable if she's not winning. Alina's PCS rise is meteoric, unprecedented...it's totally unfair. While I personally think many skaters' PCS are inflated, Zhenya has spent two entire years working for hers. Two seasons of being undefeated except one competition. More clean competitions than not. And she has been working on and improving on her presentation even though her PCS was rising anyway. It's not fair that because it's Olympic season Alina can get all of that so fast. She hasn't even skated a clean short in a while. I like Alina mostly because her jumps are my favorite of the Russian ladies, but I have a feeling if she wins she will be another Adelina and retire immedidately whereas I don't feel that way about Zhenya.
