Maybe because I watched the movie in 3 separate occasions (2hrs is long ), some details were lost. I also find some of the relationship lines corny. =P One thing that I'm sure is that I wouldn't watch this movie if not for Yuzu. Abe no Seimei is cool in the movie, but I guess Yuzu set a benchmark so high that I'm not impressed with this character. =P When I look at Yuzu's NHK or GPF Seimei, I can feel that he's a powerful onmyouji who has control over both realms. Kudos to the murderface . While I find Seimei in the movie is like a super chill guy. But I guess I'll watch the 2003 movie before I make more judgement. =P

I find the Seimei spiral lackluster though (when I compare it to some of the ladies')...like it doesn't have the magic of hydroblades, ina bauers or spread eagles...hope to see it more refined! On a side note, I finally finished the 2001 Onmyouji movie (I know I'm slow!). I've heard some people say it's pretty good, but I don't agree? I find Yuzu's Seimei costume so much more appealing than the baggy one in the movie. I was amused by the plot because I found it a little ridiculous. It makes me like Yuzu's Seimei even more. And I'm now more impressed with the music cut.

I thought the K&C moment was awkward cos Raf kept hugging Nathan, and Nathan kinda just got squished by him. I think Nathan knows the CoR gold isn't the big prize and that the media will use it to hype him further. I wonder how he's coping with the pressure and if that has any impact on if he chooses to retire after PC or not.

Despite Yuzu acquiring a harem of quads, 3A is still chill because she knows her status will not be threatened. The only time 3A got mad at Yuzu was during ACI fs because he has neglected her and all the harem for a week. Yuzu has since placated her and all is fine now.

Omg, best explanation of 4Lz ever! That's how so many japanese fans are so knowledgeable about jumps! So true...Shoma and Nathan seem to be competing like they don't have time anymore, that they're foregoing details and trying to take a shortcut to victory. The problem with shortcuts is they're not reliable. Which is why I'm looking forward to Boyang's growth. He has a big picture in his mind and knows that it's important to pursue technique and artistry at the same time. Poor 4Lo...after he got attached to Yuzu, Yuzu set his eyes on a new jump... Don't worry 4Lo, soon 4Lz will be joining you to crave for Yuzu's attention when he only have eyes for 4A.

First time I saw him skate, I also thought he was a girl. But that's cos I wasn't paying tons of attention to his face and his figure is so slender. I also didn't know female skaters don't wear pants. =S The more I know Yuzu, the more manly he becomes. Isn't it annoying that people make assumptions about a person's sexuality based on physical appearance alone?

Yuzu's 4Lz doesn't deserve +3 GOE yet, but can we give him +3 GOE for his save? The more I watch of his 4Lz landing, the more amazed I become! Maybe Yuzu needs a better hairspray. He certainly couldn't rein in his hair as he was doing the swan. \ Come on, it's only 1 more revolution than 3A! Ondrej Hotarek deserves a medal! And he needed only one arm to lift Yuzu.

Same here! My friends are probably sick of hearing about Yuzu. The double standards is annoying. Had Nathan and Yuzu switched positions during Helsinki, they will be bashing Yuzu for screwing up because he's inconsistent. But for Nathan, it's cos of his boot issues. If things don't go well for Yuzu, it must be because of Yuzu himself; if things don't go well for other skaters, there are always external factors to account for it. I don't like it too! They make it sound like Nathan didn't deserve to win, and had to do it sneakily! Which is bs! That's what makes Yuzu so amazing...had he stayed with his old layouts, he might dominate every single competition. But that's not Yuzu. He never stagnates; he'll always keep evolving. It doesn't take an expert eye to see that Yuzu's skate is special. They can bash him as much as they want, but Yuzu's legacy will live on for years to come. What are you talking about? Sorry for bringing up some past topics... Yuzu + Kanon interview -- it'll be so amazing to watch Yuzu skate live to her playing the piano. It's so beautiful . Not shipping them per se, but I think it'll be great for someone who's used to media attention like Kanon to be with Yuzu. The amount of media attention that follows him is not easy to withstand! Yuzu + Matsuoka interview -- How many people can be so confident yet not arrogant at the same time? It's human nature to have a tiny hope that your opponents will not do as well so you have a higher chance of winning. But this is Yuzu! He's so amazing! Dick Button interview -- when it was mentioned that repeating of programs made him "nauseous", I'm . I think Dick Button is like the grandpa whom we love and respect, but sometimes he'll say things that we completely disagree with. =P Oh and I just want to share here...I'm happy to have found this planet to orbit. I was feeling really depressed on Monday because work wasn't going well and I felt terrible about myself. I couldn't stop the negative thoughts from coming so I watched H&L from Helsinki again. With so much concern about high BVs from younger skaters, I forgot that Yuzu kinda catched up to them in this game...can't believe he has the 2nd highest BV as of now. XD Nathan's potential layout looks really scary....When I saw Nathan's recent FS, I was really impressed with his choreo and step sequence. But when he enters the jumping sequences, the magic disappears and I lament that we can't see those beautiful skating from Nathan when he is jumping. Yea...I think others will only beat H&L's score due to much higher BVs and decent execution. No one other than Yuzu has beaten Seimei's record even now. I would prefer not to see anyone but Yuzu break WRs, but no matter who does what, no one can replace Yuzu's status in Figure Skating. Karma for reinforcing the Olympic Silver curse on Canadian men?

I'm still resisting, because I've never bought magazines just to look at photos of a star...I shall see how long I can resist. I just realized that it's not a plain white shirt but with some little designs on it! Yes, it's super adorable! She's probably used to it...maybe she was the one who taught him how to do the death stare. XD Or.... "The Free Skate went well. For the first time, my mum packed multiple pairs of gloves to bring to the competition. When I have my gloves on, I feel like an onmyouji. I was able to summon the 'Seimei' from another realm into me". I would argue that Abe no Seimei probably have servants to do everything for him, so...a little like Yuzu =P

Thanks for pointing it out! I think the youtube one is not a cover, but the original version tuned to be at a higher pitch to avoid copyright issues. It sounds too professional to be a cover (a guy with 1m views did a really good cover though). It's annoying because many of my favorite Japanese songs suffer the same fate of being tuned to a higher pitch on youtube. But I'm glad we came to the same conclusion of where Yuzu's vocals are independently! XD

Me too! I was about to post this here! Here's the original version: Vs I think just like how the kids got one "la la la" and a verse, Yuzu probably got a "la la la" and a verse too! You can hear in the commercial that there were 2 voices singing that line, unlike the original! I want to hear more of Yuzu's singing!

I didn't know Boyang's nickname is "Tian tian". I thought Yuzu was telling Boyang to jiayou everyday. XD Yuzu's pronunciation of "jiayou" is really good. It's a pity he doesn't have much interest in languages in general because he has a natural flare to reproduce the sounds of different languages. Thanks for sharing! This is the first time I've seen this clip and it's already my favorite version of "Hana wa Saku"! I felt that it was his voice as well, but I can't be 100% sure. Yuzu, the organizers gave you one microphone to yourself, why can't you hold it closer to your mouth? On this topic, Yuzu did sing in this commercial right? That's his voice right? (please say yes...) Well, he is an alien from a planet known as Planet Hanyu!

The first time I saw Yuzu skate, I couldn't see his face clearly and his slender body + graceful movements made me think he was a girl. I was reading through the comments and initially thought people were using the wrong pronouns. More figure skating videos later, I realized I was entranced by the skating of Yuzu, without even realizing I was watching him. It's only then, I started looking up his interview videos and other cute footages that I find him very handsome and cute! But that's just an extra bonus. I was already hooked before I paid attention to these other details. Remember when Yuzu was boo-ed when he won his first national championships? Yuzu fans never boo when Yuzu loses because we know all skaters worked hard to be there. Just because we like Yuzu more, doesn't mean that we're blind to the performances of others. We don't wish for poor performances of others in order for Yuzu to win. We want Yuzu to win with 2 clean skates, because that is what he wants too.
