Pooh explosion fireworks.

Let's do it! I think it would be awesome to show that there is broad international support for him. And our forum is pretty diverse.
-
*cough* He's Rikkai-dai material. Probably Yukimura-smiling but secretly competitive as heck.
-
Awww...that would be awesome! I really really hope one day, one of us satellites DO get a chance to learn skating from him. Seriously. If I had one impossible to request and realize dream, I would rub a genie lamp and ask for that- that he would take our entire forum ice skating. Now, how to fit all 2k of us on ice is another issue, maybe separate into groups and 10 min sessions?

My poor innocent SparkleSalad, I see you don't realize I'm steering him towards Plato and philosophy in general....before covering it up with figure skating. I can be sneaky like that you know.

Oh I think it's fine. I've been a mod before for gaming forums, and it's nice to have a mod speak up. Being a silent mod sometimes creates more issues, since the community may take silence the wrong way at times, especially on more controversial decisions. And the fluffy posts are fine- we've got plenty of people here who geek out over numbers, bv tables, tech specs and all that, and I think sometimes the technical objectivity gets felt as coldness . So warm floof is necessary to balance out everything. Oh dear, the chance to interrogate him and dig out his brain?! You sure you want to hand me that opportunity? *slams down a copy of Heidegger's Being and Time, Plato's Republic, and Mill's On Liberty* Let's talk... Okay, seriously though, I'd probably ask him what his personal views are on art, artistry and beauty, and how he would define them. In the general sense, not just figure skating. And to bring it back to skating, if he had to choreograph an artistic program for another skater, who would he do it for, and how he would go about showing that skater's abilities based on Yuzu's own definition of artistry/beauty. =D

So even he wore training gear to perform before? Well, at least it was extra training clothes. But that sweatshirt looks like one of my grandmother's.

See, I save gifs of his jumps for a reason. Whenever people ask, I just shove a Yuzu jump under their nose and go, "Look at that and tell me you won't fall in love with that!" They usually just understand immediately.
-
Ah yes, hydro was sane, I did not have to pull out smelling salts for her. But her enthusiasm is very infectious! Sorry if if that post was bad, and yeah, the issue is a bigger societal issue, not exactly skating per se. I also threw a death glare in my rinkmate's direction afterwards, if you are curious. It is certified Yuzu level, and maybe a bit more, type of death glare. =)

Other than that, I think we have a pretty neat fandom here. The other day, a male rinkmate was talking about a fairly controversial topic in men's skating: homosexuality. To which he asked what would happen if it ever turns out Yuzu is gay. So I asked in reply, what he thought. After a brief moment of silence, he replied that it seems Yuzuru is truly lucky to have a sane fandom that is just diehard loyal and would probably rise up in arms to defend and shield him against the media instead of muttering how disappointed they are. I think he is right, and while I am sure there are people who follow him for his looks, ultimately it is his skating and willpower that won him his fandom. And even if tears are shed over controversial news if ever, in the future, the fandom would come together to unify behind him and protect him faster than you can snap your fingers. So yeah, I am pretty proud of our fandom family too. Note: I do not know of nor care about Yuzu's leanings. It is part of his privacy sphere.

Painful, but you do respect their dedication, and you are pulled to be at the same level as them. Exhausting but ultimately you are blessed to be a more perfect you. Well at least Yuzuru tells you where the issue is, said coworker did not tell me which page the font change happened, so I had to comb through 14 pages at 10 pm.....

I am not sure if being Yuzu's seamstress is a blessing or a curse. He reminds me of a guy at my workplace who can spot one single font change on one single word in a 14 page powerpoint presentation. And it is as tiny as calibri and arial font switch, not a more obvious one.

is this recent? The skin tone and arms look recent, but the jawline does not.

There is no shame there if he really just wants one Oly, considering what injuries and surgeries he has had. As for the loop, well Nate never favored edge jumps, so not shocked...

He can delay graduation, the schools will probably allow it. The real issue are the MCAT tests, not sure how he plans to train and study for that at the same time.

I think I gave a very good description of his scrunchy-eyed smile. What do you think? Or are you going to try to top that description?
-
He doesn't use his voice for that-he uses his radiant beaming 10k mega-watt smile. One of these days, he'll upset you with a stupid decision, and then apologizing brings out that smile. You'll steel yourself to not forgive him, because the trespass was grave enough, but somehow you still cave in to the allure of a scrutchy-eyed smile that reminds you of bright sunny summer days, blue skies, soft fluffy clouds, and running through a field of daisies and sunflowers with him dragging you on. Who needs voice when eyes and smile can do that, no?
-
Oh look, a 4-minute long! Wonder if he'll reprise this after the time cut for the men's. That squealing though-I'm a soprano and I can't even go that pitch... Hmm...I'm definitely the bear. Hurt my baby brother and you die. But seriously, it's better to be the bird, raccoon or bunny. You could sneak into TCC, and ten bucks he'd try to pet you (or lure you with food). It's not feasible as a bear, you'd probably scare everyone and then forest services people will come after you to chase you back into the woods. But as animals, well I guess that's why he's been having trouble eh? It's harder to tame a bear, so the lutz is problematic right now. Raccoon loop is too playful and chewing through the power cords, running interference with practice, which is why it's not cooperating all the time-and it must be properly fed. So have you been feeding your raccoon loop properly these days, instead of making it forage for itself from trash cans? As for toeloop bunny, well it's a shy little thing no? Hence it's not always happy to land on center spotlight, even though it's normally a reliable pet.

On a toe loop? No....maybe on a salchow one day if I'm brave and my axis is stable enough?

*polishes halo* I strive to emulate our lord wherever possible. However I cannot seem to muster a smile when confronted with too much sugar.

I'm still trying to figure out why my backwards 3 turns are fine when I have to do progressive 3s in quick succession, but I overthink it and it's not as clean when I have to do a single back 3 turn. Think I turn my upper body too quickly, and my feet don't rock back to the heel section fast enough.
-
Depends, some people find them easier. Normally though the progression is 3 turn --> brackets--> counters--> rockers. I think the rockers are considered hard because you exit counter to your rotation direction or something like that. Well anyways I find them harder than counters (and a dork rinkmate finds them easier than counters so who knows). Counters are just....what happens when you forget to close your hips tight enough on the exit lobe of the bracket. ...Your suggestion is evil. I'm pondering trying rolling 3's before a toe-loop.
-
Watching other men mess up in the GP series, I miss Yuzu's 3A the most. Steady, reliable and always effortlessly elegant.

same. The major sounds fascinating. Wonder if it is something like neuro-psychology, or neuro-linguistics, where you study psychology but need to back up theories with actual neurology studies.
