Welp. That's my bad pun for the day.

Aww, you don't like Victorian coach-driver chic?

If they never collaborate I'll have unfinished business on this earth when I die and I'll be forced to haunt both their ice rinks for eternity.

Over-saturated blue flowers I'm fine with but the clothes... and the old-fashioned 80s hair... I just use my imagination to make it look as beautiful as it could have.

I don't particularly like them, either.

It's an acrylic stand to either rest your bottle of Hanyu gum on or use as a phone stand.

General Skating Chat

I suppose now all practices will have to be broadcast/open then to stop fans from complaining about strange PCS scores in competition. Right? Oh, hai, JSF.- 6,825 replies

Please tell me this is a joke. Why not go all out and give them +GOE for jumps landed in practice but not in competition.- 6,825 replies

So it’s true. All this BS complaint about artistry instead of quads but this sure sounds like they’re looking to make things easier for certain sQuad members...- 6,825 replies

It's being auctioned by the same organisation that has a program that collects a small commission by redirecting people to online shopping sites which they then donate to schools affected by the earthquake and tsunami. (I think I made that sound more complicated than it actually is.) https://www.webbellmark.jp/

Petition to have "The Miracle Jump" be the 7th kind of jump in FS. Ooo, I like all this data. Would you happen to know what broadcast this is from?
-
Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees! I bet that was better than a medal for Boyang.

Do you need an NBC or cable account account or anything like that? I managed to pay for and download the Eurosport VR app which promises a similar thing but they released an update which I can't seem to load so I can't use it. >_> Does anyone want to maybe help me get the NBC app outside of USA? Google cardboard? DIY cardboard? Just holding it in your hand?

Magazines and Photobooks - Recommendations and Reviews
SparkleSalad replied to Lys's topic in Yuzuru Hanyu
So sure am I of Yuzu's withdrawal from WC that I decided to let myself give in to my weakness and brace for the heartache by getting a few magazines. All magazines are 99% Yuzu. (Poor Shoma.) I wouldn't recommend the special Pyeongchang AERA - it's mostly old photos, a recap of his whole career from tiny times (and has a huge CoC photo and NHK injury for anyone wanting to avoid that sort of thing.) It does have that blue flower double page where he's leaning against the mirror inside the back cover, though, for those who were so smitten with that shoot. Figure Skate Magazine has two double-sided posters and a lot of nice, clear, full-page photos. Clean layout with pages divided into maximum of 4 photos for the most part. Some very nice practice photos and, most importantly, THIS PHOTO: Memorial is about the same. Has a stunning sideways shot of the Chopin ina bauer and a sequence of joyous SEIMEI choreo sequence and other lovely but small SEIMEI photos. Not sure if I'll keep both, really. One or the other would be good if you have to choose between the two. They share a few of the same photos, anyway. ETA Of the four photos chosen for the posters in FS Magazine, only one is of him skating and it's the SEIMEI hydroblade, only they oriented it vertically so it cuts off his outstretched leg and arm. And yet the ultra close up of his face on the opposite side is horizontal. Y u do dis? -
I'm not sure exactly what it will be but it says "video revolution - 100 minute special program" so probably showing the VR jump analysis etc they used during the broadcast. Praying for a miracle.

Looking at the Saitama 2014 website, there were open practices in the main rink for holders of the 4 day pass. Let's hope it's that way again in Tokyo!

Demand skyrockets for sweets, masks and sports goods popularized by Japan’s Olympic athletes A flu mask also attracted attention after it was worn by figure skater Yuzuru Hanyu, who won gold in the men’s singles event at the Pyeongchang Olympics. ... The 2018 version of the mask starts from ¥21,600. Although the product is unusually expensive for a flu mask, 2,000 people are currently on a waiting list to buy it. The company is unable to keep up with the pace of orders, even though workers are giving up their holidays to produce more masks.

That was the plan! So it’s still possible! Brb, selling my own mother.
