He's really like a second dad to Nathan with how long they've been together.

Yeah, I guess it's probably part of a paid subscription service of some sort, sadly. But good to know this info!

Depends on whether he can place 4Lz3T in the second half. As you know, combos in the first half of a FS are for weaklings.

@Xen Oh, I know who they are, but I meant I couldn't actually find the data on Yuzu's 4Lz the twitter thread referenced in their site. I was wanting to find that data but couldn't.

I remember for men and ladies but forgot most of the rest. I got the Shibs winning right, as well as the two first Russian pairs but can't recall anything else.

The best thing about a non-retiring Yuzu? We can get brand new programs next season, yay! In before he dusts off RJ2.

Interesting thread on Yuzu's 4Lz in comparison with Boyang's, but I can't actually find the analysis being referenced:

Apparently Patrick and Shoma are not going to do the 4S at Skate Canada. Patrick will do only one quad in his SP and 2 4Ts and 2 3As in his FS; Shoma will replace the 4S for a 3Lo in his FS. The Salchow curse is strong so they're not risking it.

He only took it out here because he was having trouble in practice with it and he has so much freedom in his layouts with his quad arsenal he can afford to. The 4Lo will be back, though.
-
It would help a lot if I knew what she was saying but the 4Lz reaction was so much louder so it gets my vote!
-
Thank you! That's 12:00 my time for the medal ceremonies, if any streams will brodcast it. I'll get to see Yuzu mooning over Nathan's gold medal!

Anyone recall when this is starting?

Imagine if the zipper had gotten stuck halfway down. Smoothness thwarted!

I'm so amused by the new meme.

Well, going by the Seimei RT he had yesterday, he'd already do better than at ACI! At least he rotated everything but the 4Lz there! I'm hopeful for something slightly better than that first RT though. All rotated quads would be wonderful, actually. Not asking for much, right?

I disagree here. Clean Yuzu will always win the SP even with Nathan going clean, despite lower BV, unless Nathan suddenly starts getting +3 on all his jumping passes and 45-46 PCS. Shoma and Yuzu have too close a BV that if both clean, Yuzu will win. Key word here, of course, being going clean. Which Yuzu needs to be a bit more in his SP from now on.

Let's all pretend the judges hate Chopin so much they didn't give it 112 at ACI or anything.

Everyone ignores 2012 in these lists, though.

New interview with Brian, in Russian: @kaerb has a twitter thread with some of the most important parts of the interview, via google translate.

Relax, I just need a beautiful perfect 4Lz by Olympics. Maybe GPF too. A iffy landed one in COR isn't in my list of things I will worry about. As long as he doesn't, like, you know, pop it. But it's a work in progress, that 4Lz.
-
Ah so the footage seem to be from both his landed attempts, both with iffy landings. No wonder his knee was taking a beating before ACI if this is how he's going about it.
-
Here's the complete video. Seems like the saved attempt.
-
It's just practice on the first day after traveling and on new ice. I'm more curious to see how he'll do tomorrow in his runthrough.
-
By the way, according to the analysis, Yuzu's 4Lz attempt at WTT had height: 72 cm, rotation: 5.00 rps. The slower rotation is probably why he had the bad landing so he's likely to have tightened that up. But, man, those 4Lz jumps are HIGH. One thing I wish these analysis included too is distance. Are the highest jumpers covering as much distance as others with less height in their jumps?
