So that mag says he will do lots of shows? No surprise here, even if it isn't based in fact. I can see it. This is the year where the newly crowned champs are all together on display, with other years' winners and other favourites... of all the years to participate this is probably the one, with his skating friends, idols and especially to show gratitude to his fans etc... he might be facing a real battle with himself over participating or recovering... personally I hope his talk shows in the summer would suit that purpose if he isnt totally physically ready. Well, he knows himself best so trust in that.

I would add that while Japan may not seem as powerful as the others... don't underestimate the influence of Mr. Orser... some clout there, I think.... I imagine yuzu will do everything he can to return to FaOI, asap. He loves the shows and performing at home... so I see him missing some of the tour but not all of it.

I got it... he wants to see the robins come back from wintering down south, lol!!! Just kidding... and I haven't seen any yet... I wonder if the nor'easters have scared them off ... I miss them!! I think it might be early for choreo ... or if not, maybe it is for a new exhibition number... who knows.

Yuzu.. why are you in toronto? Not complaining, lol, just thought he'd spend his off time in Japan since he has events coming up, and I thought he would want to enjoy spring there since he rarely can.... guess he's doing his rehab here.... makes sense, but still a tiny bit surprised. Edit: I hope TCC puts a photo of the new Olympic achievements of yuzu and javi on their facebook page so we can see how the updated wall looks!!!

I don't pay much attention to the rankings, but I don't think actual score in a competition is considered. It is placement...1st gets you x points, 2nd x fewer points. If you look at the other disciplines it's the same, it is by position. If Shoma wins world's he gets 1200 points.... yuzu won Olys he gets 1200 points, shoma was 2nd he got however many points the 2nd position gets and so on....

I can understand Ashley but not really Karen... you'd think she'd want the opportunity, but only she knows what her form is like and how she sees herself doing. Perhaps training is going poorly or she's psychologically not into it.... hope whoever goes *jumps* at the chance.

I adore Tarakanova too. She's my absolute favourite of Eteri's girls (she's wild, and hmmm, maybe there is a young yuzu comparison somewhere there)...

I don't get the gloom either. Yuzu show/chat in April... parade in April... probably doing shows in the summer, the chats anyway... it seems like a very busy off season for someone who will be *away* from the sport for a few months. The quietest span ever was the entire spring/summer after Boston when he stayed in Toronto during his recovery/rehab. This time he's in Japan where there are so many off ice opportunities (and no need to hide his condition during rehab) that unless he goes back to Toronto for new programs, I"m sure we'll hear lots from him.

She didn't mention Autumn Classic which is very small and nowhere near the GP series in importance....but the very significant 112 for sp was achieved there... so it was a very memorable and important competition... ( as our satellites who went can attest to)...

Yes, they said on some broadcasts during the event that he was pointing to the rings from Nagano. I knew what he was pointing at back then... but with so much other stuff to cheer about back then it is no surprise it escaped some people's notice.

And that is why Yuzu doesn't have a public social media account...(or at least one big reason why, there are probably more)

Relieved he withdrew. Surprised at only 2 weeks of rest considering that is similar to what he was told in November, which didnt help. However, that was then and this is now. Hope it all works for him and a full recovery can be attained as expected. I hope if after that time he still has pain, he doesn't push just for shows... I keep saying it, but we know his love for performing for his audience so it still worries me. Maybe now is a good time to take that 1st class family trip.... as long as it is somewhere he can just enjoy on crutches or on a hammock!!

I was in London, Ontario today and as i was driving through a quiet neighbourhood I saw a nice little restaurant with a great big banner on its deck with a big " Tessa and Scott" written on it... I couldn't turn and look closer since I was driving in traffic so I didn't make out exactly what it said, but it was cool to see Tessa's home town showing them some obvious love!!

Personally, I hope he goes to Toronto for a bit of that recovery time, maybe towards the end when he might begin training again... just for ability to get out and about without it being a big deal..... ( the air is better there too)... and I always feel better when I know he's in Toronto because it's closer to me, lol.

My unrealistic wish is ACI... unrealistic because of early season timing... only remotely possible because it's only around 45 minutes from TCC.... and a quick drive for me..... but, I would rather he take all the time he needs if it means seeing him healthy sometime next season. I hope he takes months, if that is required .... with no shows, if that is required..... but i hope he does commercials, tv shows, photo shoots... so we see his pretty face!!!

Happy for Alina that she is getting the dog of her choice... some people might want a huge reward for winning the Olympics... she just wanted a dog!!! (Although the rest of what she got doesnt hurt either, lol).

Since there's been nothing new for a couple of days my first thought was *finally, he's getting himself checked out!* Armed with what they already know about his injury, i hope whatever tests they do now can decide/confirm exactly what is wrong (i think he said there was a little bit of uncertainty as to exactly what the issue was because his previous injuries were confusing the matter) so that they can pursue a course of action. He got his Gold, now time to fix the body and that's the number 1 priority.

When he is home, meaning in Japan, he is so often so busy that he can't really ever be *home* like we would think of home (your house). Always doing his commercial work, interviews (especially now as a returning 2x OGM)... and then shows in the summer... he is so rarely actually *at home* doing *at home* things. I wonder if he actually ever relaxes when in his family's house... or if he's planning the next day's events!! I won't feel too badly for him, though.... he seems to thrive in this life with all these challenges!

There are, as you would expect, gazillions of Mcdonald's in Toronto... but it would absolutely be the highlight of my day to walk into one and see him in a corner drinking pop and eating something. At least the possibility exists, lol!!
