Just got home to see the page explosion. So, he's skipping the TE. I strongly suspected this would be the case when they reported that there was no news... it meant he hadn't decided at that point...which meant he was/is still iffy about his condition. No matter what happens, I want him to be able to be happy with what he can do at this point in time vs. what he could do perfectly healthy and well trained. I hope for a clean Seimei, no matter what content he has planned with his current capabilities, and then let the chips fall where they may. In a few weeks, or months, we'll learn how excruciating this period if time has been for him and i"m sure we'll all be broken hearted reading about it.... But I want to read about it because it will most likely describe once again his strength of character and determination. I have a feeling the public will only love him more, no matter what he does, simply because people will know what he's gone through to get to this point.

I had a pair almost exactly like those last year... and this year mine are similar to that, but not black anymore.... my face shape allows me to wear many different styles very easily, I think he can too. I like him in all the frames I've seen him in, pretty much.

I did not know that, but I dont pay much attention to 4cc.... I think that is excellent. What a great way for those non traditional skating countries to get exposure as well as benefitting the big ones.

Nice to see a new pic. He is certainly taking advantage of the privacy and security that TCC gives him, isn't he. Full on ninja mode and no media intrusion whatsoever. Well, it will all end shortly so he is storing up his energy before the onslaught that will greet him upon airport arrival in PC.

Ok, so after the ladies competition, how many can Canada send to next year's 4CC? 2?

Every Olympics I've been able to watch live coverage here in Canada and then the packaged US shows at night... it's interesting to see their spin and packaging compared to the live events (and i obviously prefer our live coverage) but it drove me crazy when they'd have so many commercials, so much build up, so much *stuff and fluff pieces* when I just wanted to watch the competition. Just the other day i saw that NBC was promoting its first ever Live! Olympics... with everyone using the internet and seeing the results, Olympic viewership was really declining.... so for this Olympics they put money and influence into getting prime events in their prime time (not gonna lie, we benefit here in other parts of NA too). The athletes will have to make changes, but to the sponsors, they're here to entertain us... I guess (I don't agree with it, but what can you do...).

I said this before when talking about people taking ballet lessons and whether that makes a difference: taking ballet lessons does not automatically mean you move better, it just means you took ballet lessons...

Ah, the waiting, the endless speculation... 2 weeks people, then instead of anticipating over imbibing, we can actually do it!!

Maybe this year, out of necessity, he'll participate when they hold it. From an outside view it seems it's the smartest thing to do when you haven't competed for 3 months but we're outsiders without any clue about what's going on and that won't change. For all we know he could be in perfect condition and doing everything... OR, this could be the most YOLO competition ever!! Either way, it'll be entertaining! Seeing that Elizabet is at 4CC with her mom, I guess Brian is at home to oversee the final 2 weeks of training... which makes me glad. This is the most stressful time right now...

She could probably write another book based solely on her workings with him, lol!! It would sell well, I suspect.

I wish they would state their reasons for not inviting certain people. Then at least it would give people a chance to understand the situation... as of now we can just guess: sochi participation, secret drug failures, failure to comply or be located for testing, stealing someone's puppy...

The selling power of one skater is amazing.... but then, he is amazing... what will they ever do without him.... Maybe they should announce he will attend all skating events... people might buy tickets just to see him live, lol.... just kidding....

AFAIK, he family did go to Sochi. I have no doubt they will make it to PC.

And you are going to have an absolutely fabulous time!!!! We will all eagerly await your reports if y ou have time to share them. When are you heading to Korea? I wonder if Brian is going to 4CC with Elizabet this week (is she still going?)... that man needs a bit of a rest after all the continent hopping he's been doing... and i wish he'd stay home with the guys in the lead up to the Games...

Yup... at least it's been a bit easier because every weekend there has been skating of SOME kind.. including this upcoming week where I'll be hoping Mai can do well and salvage something from her season... and for me, I also enjoy the Australian Open tennis, so while dry, this cactus isn't shriveling just yet.... and since my weather and time is the same as in Toronto, I think, hmmm, it's foggy in Toronto today, or it's sunny etc.. wonder how training is going...

Javi He is free to say what he wants, he is under no obligation to keep things close to the chest... and yet he really didn't reveal anything either, other than Yuzu will get in shape fast and be the biggest threat, which is absolutely true whenever he shows up at a competition. So, no spilling of beans here either. And if Yuzu pins that murderous glare on him, javi will just shrug, meh! and continue on in his casual way, lol!!
