I would like to see Nanami choreographing Yuzuru's olympic program

I have to confess, the first time i saw him skate his SP at the olympics- and was immediately impressed. Since Sasha Cohen r****d, i "forgot" about FS- until sochi 2014. I was watching with my parents and both, me and my mom were impressed (and we both thought he is handsome :s_blush ). The next day we were both rooting for him to win the gold medal :s_drinks

Um lol chill a bit. I actually think they are quite complimentary to Yuzuru if you actually listen to the podcast. From the tone of their voice, their word choice and their figure of speech, I think they genuinely think Yuzuru is the man to beat and if he is clean he would win. I would argue that the tone of how they talk about Yuzuru is even nicer than some (some, not all) Japanese media who sometimes paints a narrative as if Yuzuru is really threatened by the younger guys. They really think Yuzuru is still the top guy if he delivers. I think the question is not that "Can he deliver under pressure?", because he can, he definitely can, we've seen many instances. And for the ridiculous amount of pressure put on him, we all agree that he performed exceptionally well. But the question should be, "Can he deliver under pressure at the right time?" Because like it or not, we need to admit that Yuzu can be... a bit inconsistent some times. He can crumble down under pressure. Yes, there's injury and whatnot, but WTT is an example where well... he can not-deliver under pressure as well. And that's okay, he's a human after all (no, actually he's an alien), and I dare say that his humanistic side is what makes me care about him a lot more. So yea, everybody knows his the best out there in terms of the whole package. He's on another level really. But his biggest enemy right now is himself, in the form of mental pressure and self-doubt. That's why winning the WC is indeed important, not to prove anything to anyone or add more medal collection, but just to give him that morale booster he really needs. Um, how do you know his performance at WTT had something to do with pressure? It was the last competition of the year, after worlds, he was maybe just tired? No? Not everything has something to do with "pressure".

Me too! I highly doubt he would choose this particular color for a competition costume, but a girl can dream, right? :angel2: Who knows :laugh: But, i hope, for the olympics, he is going to be the most sparkling disco ball on the ice with a lot of gold sparkles

I wanna choose 'believe' too!!! His artistic side shines in that program!!! I chose Seimei and RJ1 in the end...after a struggle with only two choices... I see, i'm not the only one who likes Believe :yay:

Ah, predictions I believe it when i see it. Until then, nothing is 100%. How many people were sure that Mao and Yulia will medal in sochi? Or that Adelina will win? No one can say that Med will still be in top form ( no one stays on top forever), and we don't know how Zagitova will deal with the pressure and puberty. I hope Adelina will return, fit and motivated, but after the olympic season. Would like to see Yulia's strong comeback Anna is a question mark, Kovtun and Sotskova too. I hope Kolyada becomes consistent. Radionova? Hard to say. Tuktamysheva :s_dunno

I just hope they don't get injured. Doesn't Rika already have/had a knee injury? Ow. And it doesn't look like 3As are rewarded unless you NEVER underrotate or fall on them, and judges don't shower you with GOEs unless you can do them with steps. It's not worth it... not yet :nah: Being consistent is more important right now

Rika and 3A... None of the ladies had a consistent 3A so far- not Mao, not Liza (even with her great technique). Even many men don't have a consistent 3A. It's nice to see the ladies try it, and i'm glad that Wakaba can jump it too, but.... :s_dunno

Japanese people are pretty knowledgeable when it comes to figure skating, aren't they? I mean, everyone can see with his own eyes the difference between Yuzuru's and Shomas jumps- and it was often told that Yuzuru's technique is perfect. I think some people are just blinded by Shomas world silver medal
