Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon 4Lz3T(so) 3A 4T (99.15) Yaaas Boyang slay in that costume, I like it : D I like the music during SS a lot, not sure about that second spin placement (he's like spinning during DRAMATIC STOMP BEATS) and the ending which felt like he ended after the music. Needs a definitive finishing note instead of fading out weirdly. He needs to stop jumping that 4Lz so late, looked like he crashed into the board or something. But it was so beautiful, even from a distance ;__;
liv Posted September 9, 2017 Posted September 9, 2017 I liked Boyang's sp. Very different from Spiderman, but I see improvement with his skating. I wasn't grinning, like after Spidey, but it is more serious after all. Can hardly wait until Finlandia...

I hadn't seen every video yet, even those I posted myself (Only Boyang and Sui/Han actually) but now that I sat down and watched them, I can agree that I quite like all of the senior Team China programs. And though I am laughing at bit at the obvious national inflation PCS scoring for Boyang, I do believe this program helped him develop his skating skills quite a bit and I'm looking forward to seeing it skated clean. Boyang also remains the only guy I know (are there others I've missed?) who goes into his 4T from a straight line while everyone else does a 3-turn.
Eclair Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 Here is Boyang's SP from a nearer perspective: I have to say, that the program looks better from far away ... Still needs lots of polish, even the step sequence that looks good from afar. I hope it's just all his strategy for pacing himself ... Also, he looks quite bulky ... Judging from recent pictures of his training and arms, he gained some muscles on the arms ... Not the best strategy for single men skaters - more something pair skaters need ....

I agree, that program needs a lot of work and the choreography is very simple and not as strong as the music. Though I am sure he will be working on it as the season progresses and it will be better. However, I am kind of missing Boyang in that program, I don't feel his personality like I did in both his SP and FP last season. I hope that is only because it is early and not because the program does not match him.
Eclair Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 unfortunately both streams don't work for me
Eclair Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 what is this sorcery? why did all of team. china fall? first zijun and xiangning, then the pairs, now boyang ... are they using the pair's jumping coach to coach Zijun ,Boyang and xiangning or what? poor guy! and stop bulking up your arms boyang!
sallycinnamon Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 I hope Boyang is okay and not injured.
