Ok, back now that the skating is over... my internet sucks...

 

I never liked Savchenko when she was with Robin ( I liked him better between the 2). I disliked their skating style, programs, pretty much everything about them and couldn't understand why they won so many titles... putting them on par with some of my all time favourites, like G/G. etc... But, with Bruno, she's totally different and this pairing is more to my taste in skating and style. I don't even mind that they do all their difficult throw/jump elements boom, boom, boom in the first half of the program. To see them back up their Olys win with an equally strong showing here is fantastic and finally, after all these years (since Mishkuteniuk/Dmitriev.. also big favourites of mine), a team has won both titles in the same year. Congratulations to them on a great skate and great year.

 

My wish to the skate gods of pairs skating:   Please, oh, please... give Tarasova/Morozov choreo and music that fits them and shows them off as they deserve to be shown. They are too good for Christina Aguilera... or, at least choose one of her better songs!!

 

SO happy for James/Cipres! Even after the fall they kept it together and really did a great job of grabbing that bronze medal. Her nailing that second throw really sealed it for them, I think. Finally they have a big, important world medal!!! They just get better with age and I hope they stick around.

 

Edit: I love Tarasova's polka dots too! I have loved her dress from the beginning, lol! quite cheeky to have them on your tushy!

Yes, the wedgies I donˋt like. The russian ladies have them quite often..

 

I am so grateful that I had the chance to watch it in person. What a competition, what a podium! <3<3<3

J/C, one word: gooosebumps!!! The program grabbed me in and it felt like I was on the ice with them. It was extraordinary, really special. Vanessa is so strong mentally, she finished the program perfectly after the nasty fall. I am just happy for them that they finally have a Worlds medal with this skate! 

 

S/M are on a whole different level, their performance was just stunningly beautiful. They deserved the gold so much and I am especially happy for Bruno now. Their skating is regal and have a very strong balance between the technique and PE/IN. Their skating is btw extremely fast 

 

T/M: please give them a better program mext time -  their skating is effortless, pure, beautiful and technically very good if they nail the elements. They deserve more next season

 

can we get something more classical for T/M next season? Like sleeping beauty suite? Tarasova is so lovely, use her properly please.
