bit early for that...

3:30 am here, just thought I'd wait for the medal ceremony, did /not/ expect to feel even more stressed then before the medal was a sure thing :13877886:

I genuinely believe Boyang will surpass the others. He GETS IT. That’s my entire issue with Nathan and Vincent. They don’t get it. Seems like Shoma gets it too but his technique may give him trouble.

I agree, Boyang came into the senior ranking deemed as the 'jumping bean' who just did quads, but now I do feel like he's trying to improve his artistry and knows that only succeeding in jumps won't win. There needs to be both the technical and artistry in the same program in order to move the audience. I feel like the U.S. hype machine is leading the young men (Chen + Zhou) to the wrong direction, I hope these two skaters soon realize that there's more to skating than just jumping quads.

Somehow Nathan seems like he has more. Oh well, maybe it's because when he's not doing crossovers he's just skating around setting up for a jump or something. Honestly it was a jumping routine from where I was watching.

Yes, really it was. I just watched the program on CBC and I questioned 'where is the choreography'? Attempting 6 quads accomplishes nothing other than earning points from the technical side of judging, I felt no connection with the audience nor musicality with that Olympic FS performance. (And this is coming from someone who genuinely likes Nathan and knows he's capable of general choreography in programs, for example like his exhibition numbers)

Yuzuru really deserves a good rest, I would love to see him at worlds just because I love to see him LOL, but health is first so do what you have to do Yuzuru!

:/

Oh my...
I don't mind if he skips World. His health is more important now. He has given it all for this Olympics and make us proud. So I really want him to rest and heal after this. I'm so proud of him :sadPooh: Team Brian did a great job in managing his health and mental state coming to this Olympics.
