Cross posting from General thread:

Patinage Magazine has started crowdfunding earlier this month to survive its economic crisis caused by the COVID-19 situation. As rewards for donations, they offer original items such as diaries using the images of a skater or sets of skaters' photos as well as digitized Patinage Magazines. However, last weekend, the agent of Shoma and Daisuke Takahashi, whose images are used for the rewards announced that PM hadn't gotten permission to use the images either from them or from JSF. (JSF is managing the image rights of their skaters except the ones used for news reporting purpose) PM is also using images of Yuzu and other Japanese ladies, and given that they had not contacted JSF first, it is highly likely that the item using images of them have the same issue. So if you are considering donating because of the rewards, check on the news section of their crowdfunding page first to see how the situation has progressed and make sure you will get the reward.

Good morning, everyone. Don’t withdraw your contributions. continue to support us. We are in the process of resolving the problem with the people involved. No objects or photographs are sold using the images of Japanese skaters. Crowfunding has nothing to do with the image of skaters but only with the magazine. The right to the image of skaters is respected when it comes to a sports press publication because the photos are taken in the context of a competition.

The Facebook message isn't new though? That's the same message they posted on the news section of their crowdfunding site on June 19th, and I wrote the post you quoted after reading the message and seeing that there were still items using photos of Japanese skaters on their CF site. You can find the link to the crowdfunding site once you click on the first link I posted as sources.

Message from Koshiro:
"I am back in Switzerland since 19th last month and has resumed training. I am skating and in good health. We still can't relax due to coronavirus, but I am going to stay positive and do my best in what I can do and what I have to do at the moment. I appreciate your continuous support."

So, even senior GP seems over, because if a skater cannot ice-train during 14 days (why not, at least, reducing the time and test at the end?) after each GP trophy, he/she cannot seriously compete for the next, then for final. Unless ISU get satisfied with one GP medal to access GPF, or unless the skater trains where he/she doesn't need self-isolation after a GP.

The only way is to find temporary ice rink outside Japan but not everyone can afford it and some Japanese skaters have abroad training bases. But as GPs seems less and less likely to happen I wish Japanese TV would show at least parts of local regionals/sectionals.

In fact maybe Shoma Uno will be able to? I don't know what Swiss is doing.
