Does anybody know how the distance for ice scope is calculated?

Not sure but I'd imagine the distance is measured from the ice take off to the landing in straight line... but why do you want to know?

Out of interest? :P I know how to do heights, but not distances.

I'd say they use the point where the jumping edge/toe leaves for the starting point and measure the distance travelled to the point where the landing edge touches the ice.

I believe Fuji is going to broadcast WC so they probably want to show off IceScope there. I'm interested to see how all men's 3A measure up!

I don't know how she could continue in the sport and make her skating as effortless when battling this disease. Sounds absolutely painful.

Makes me even more grateful for her presence every time she takes to the ice.

Wow, now I admire Mai so much! My mum has arthritis and it is extremely painful, especially when you’re diagnosed early in life. My mum was diagnosed at 36 and she was already considered very young to have the condition so I can’t imagine what Mai is going through.
