Well, it looks like Yuzu went to the hospital, and based on medical advice, he decided to withdraw. He was crying when he made the decision. Reports suggest that he has some damage to a ligament in his ankle, but there's no information about how bad it is. Ligament injury recovery can vary quite drastically depending on which ligament and how bad it is. If it isn't torn, he might be back in training soon enough for nationals. If it is torn, though, he might need surgery, in which case he might not be in training long enough to make nationals.

 

Either way, withdrawing is definitely the right thing to do for him. Unfortunately there isn't much hope of seeing him at the gala.

 

This doesn't automatically mean that his Olympic gold chances are screwed. We really can't get an accurate timeframe until we know how badly he hurt himself, which we don't, so there's no point jumping to conclusions.

Yeah, I saw that after i posted that. It's just mind boggling to me that they didn't get an x-ray first. But that's my nursing mind talking. I hope it wasn't a tear and if it is I hope it's only a grade 1 or something. They did good using ice though

Wtf that article about him going to PC as reigning Olys champ and GPF champ jinxed him. Not really. I just need something to blame. Yes we need a project to show our support. His not only physical but also emotional pain is making this so hard.

Well, good training for them I guess cos I would assume they'll be around longer than Yuzu...and their first GPF gold will not hold the same weight as if they won over Yuzu....

 

This is so painful...he took so much extra care of himself this season, but yet this happened....why why why?

 

What can we do to show him our support and love?

If he has a fever even before his fall, it could be that his fever that triggered the fall.. like his body is not in a great condition in the 1st place. So, the 4Lz just happened to be there kinda thing.. 

I really hated 4Lz before but then it’s not quite fair for him so yeah just omg I’m just gonna cry..
