Poetry thread, a place to wax lyrical about the wonderful Yuzuru!

Here is my first Haiku attempt, trying to reflect a little bit of the magical and emotional experience I had watching Hope and Legacy at Worlds.

"Magic sparks from steel;

Deep cuts here, there, gliding through

time, piercing the heart."

Who wants to be brave and write a haiku in japanese :tumblr_inline_ncmif5EcBB1rpglid:

I tried only because I felt particularily sad and started writing by myself... but I bet I totally got the concept of haiku wrong LOL. Here goes, crippling Japanese forward:

羽生の平和

見る時自分

を見つける。

Awww. I think i got it :P it's really nice <3

My try at crippling japanese too (i should be making swans not haiku but eeh... Olympic related!)

如月や (kisaragi ya)
理想の先へ (risou no saki he)
氷上で (hyoujou de)

I'm going to try and translate it... believe it or not sometimes i have a hard time translating things i wrote myself... So it might not be perfect and i might be really wrong hahahaha

On the second month

To go beyond your ideal

On the surface of the ice

What does your haiku mean?

Should have posted the translation like Hydro but I was waiting if maybe someone found some mistakes in it  The translation is something like:

羽生の平和 (Hanyu no heiwa) Hanyu's harmony

見る時自分 (Miru-toki Jibun)   When I see it, I

を見つける。(wo mitsukeru)   Discover myself.

i wrote a little something :-)

he moves, like a dream
—memories that resurface from murky depths,
scenes cut out from rolls of film, flickering.

he moves, like a song
—glittering stars that descend from the heavens,
the sound of water hitting the rocks, never-ending.

he moves, like a wish
—prayers from you to me, from me to you, from us to God,
deep and shallow breaths in the interstice of smiles, promising.

he moves, like a warrior
—ink that never runs out til its story has been told,
cries that can be heard from deep inside, reverberating.

he moves, and he moves
—and he stops,
chilling.

he moves.
