Too many vacation days? I wish I had your problem  (seriously though, once you start following yuzu around the world, you won't have any left...)

I wish I had the financial ability to follow him around the world...why ACI won was that the tickets are cheaper than the formal competitions, and I get to see a lot of good skaters (Yuzu, Mai etc). If he goes till 2022....well I plan to work my butt off to earn enough to pay for everything, cause there's no way I'll miss Beijing if he shows up.

So what are we going to do about banners? Is the design done already? I was thinking of a planet with his Ina Bauer profile in the middle, and a  pooh satellite...

Someone already posted last year's schedule, but I remember that they actually ran behind most days. Men's FS was the last event on Saturday and after the medal ceremony on the ice it was at least 11 PM.

Ugh this so much! I wish i had the financial ability too, bc i would LOVE to do both ACI and World's...

And again AAAAAAAAAAAAAAH I'M SO HAPPY THAT MAI IS GOING :smiley-love017:

About the banner hm, i am toying around with some designs in my head, i want something very representative of him and our planet :D something that catches his attention so he definitely notices it :) maybe he'll get curious and lurk around haha.

Well Geo1 is going, so we have the guy aspect covered. Now we just need a 5 year old....

Hm, maybe with the guy aspect covered+banner hanging upside down it would be enough :D

I wrote email to SCAC but you can image what I received was kind of template answer.

Here is the email......Totally useless.

IIRC reservations were available midway through July for last year! So fingers crossed that it'll work out the same for this year

How should we make reservation for the tickets? By telephone or online? If it works I don't need to get up early and wait for the ticket, great!

I did it online last year.

Do you know when will the Men's free skate competition ends? Will it in the afternoon or in the evening? My flight back to China suppose to take off at 18:00 so I have to reach the airport before 16:00, 23rd. But if the free skating ends in the evening I am afraid I have to stay in Montreal one more day.

The men's event would definitely be in the evening. In 2015 I remembered the men's free was once settled in the afternoon but eventually they moved it to be evening. It could be very late after the ceremony.

You can email them, and they will email you back with a confirmation letter for your reservation.

Thank you for all the information @Elaine @kiches! In all the times I've been to Canada so far I've actually been able to avoid Tim Hortons, I guess probably not this time

I'm starting to get scared of lodgings. Most of the hotels seem to be booked out that week.

Only a couple appeared to be booked out, and I think those were the official hotel and probably one for the tour groups. There's quite a few airport hotels in this area and I doubt they'll all get booked out, but the prices of course are likely to go up as we get closer to the dates. The worst that could happen is you'll have to stay farther and travel longer to get to the rink. This is a pretty small competition after all.

I managed to book at the comfort inn next door. Also checked the public transport, and it seems pretty good, and it seems buses even run after 11 pm? Scary...
