Whether consciously or unconsciously Sunao Noto might have a bit of a bias... hehehe :7562096:

Ahahhaha I will never get over how wide Yuzu's cross-cultural appeal is. Casually goes around collecting the hearts of children, young women, motherly aunties and uncles, senior citizens, older male figure skaters, journalists and now male photographers

Also as a photographer (though not a sports photographer).... man, I adore stage lighting :sadPooh:

I really like the guitarist

The picture he linked is this one:

I don't think that's bias.

I think that's someone talking who has known him a long time and shared a terrifying experience.

That he should feel a deep connection and have grave respect for him is only natural.

Living in Tokyo, where the earthquake was "only" a strong 5 - as compared to I think almost 8 in Sendai - on the Japanese scale, after seeing steel lantern posts move like snakes and meter high neon sign crash onto the sidewalk across from the conference room where I was in a meeting, then the afterquakes following, nobody knowing if they would get worse, was the most terrifying day of my life.

I - and I'm hardly alone in that - couldn't sleep normally for weeks, several month, not really LIVE normally.

I'll never know from what hidden reservoir Yuzu in much more dire circumstances managed to draw from to go on to perform FOR OTHERS - both to raise money for charities and to lift them up spiritually - but he deserves all and more of the love, admiration and respect he gets.

I guess this CD will be sold out quickly

words frequently fail to describe how much i admire and adore him

Wow this necklace hunt :rofl:off season really is kicking in

Also side note, I've been wanting to buy one of Yuzuru's Phiten necklaces. I really like the aesthetic of both :smiley-love017: I love the other necklace, but it's so expensive... maybe in a couple of years

I also like the other one but it's like...errr too expensive, so I'm also thinking about Phiten (blue ball) - saw it on one of the fans in Helsinki and it's really nice :kitty:

A bit from Fujisawa's line blog, where he's talking about Yuzu, in case someone is interested:

It seems that when I sang Ode to Joy during a live broadcast from Sendai, Hanyu-senshu watched it from the rink location of the same program.

I was really surprised when he told me that and happy that he remembered it!

The world is really such a small place.

He also told me that, including Ode to Joy which was used for the finale, he remembers the lyrics of all songs used in the show.

I want to learn from him how to remember lyrics. (laughs)

I always forget them so quickly. (laughs)

"From my perspective as a photographer, Yuzuru Hanyu the skater is a skater who is easy to photograph."

Well, from mine too :rofl:I can say that my photographing skills are nonexistent but even I managed to take one or two great pics of Yuzu cuz he's very photogenic and always has so much different facial expressions :smiley-love017:
