Museums and galleries will be open and functioning, but I wonder if you'll be able to look at Schliemann's Troy hoards or Vrubel's pictures when Yuzuru Hanyu's skating in the same city at the same time...

Yes!! I would not be be able! It would be quite depressing, I know...but for the visa, I just have to fake it, I think:smile:

Thank you for the information, so I do know I do not have to search for practice tickets.

Honestly, I do not mind visa problems, etc, I just hope I get to watch a tiny part of the cup. And if not, this gives me the incentive to plan my long-delayed holiday in Russia for 2018.

And for figure-skating...there is always Milan as my last hope to see Yuzuru omce more live after Helsinki.

Anyway. it`s will be great to see you in Moscow. Nothing as hard as immagine =)

@Fay thanks, I thought I remembered it like that. :confused0036:

Sorry and all that stuff! Skate Canada was great in that respect... Now we'll have no practice fancams until... the Olympics, unless Yuzu wants to go Autumn Classic once again.

@Lunna

Hi Lunna, thanks for the insights. May I ask a few questions if you dont mind? It is really difficult for me to gather information from Russian sites.

1. Is it expensive for taxi in Moscow? I might have to departure from DME airport which is around 1hr driving from the hotel I booked. Or there is a flat fee for airport transportation?

2. How do they sell event tickets? In all-event package or daily ticket or individual event ticket? Are tickets gonna be electronic copy or in mail?

Thanks in advance for your help!

1. I agree with the answers above)) Taxi is good only at night, any other time I'd prefer a train + metro. Maybe only a taxi from the metro station to the hotel if you have luggage.

2. Only daily tickets. The tickets are electronic.

But the arena is accessible by public transport, right? I am thinking of just booking some hostel more in the centre ^^

Yes, it's about 15-20 minutes from Dinamo metro station by foot.

SVO's much closer to where you're staying. DME's on the other side of the city.

still you risk getting into traffic jams as that road is always busy. and you're right, the price is likely to be higher - pretty much useless to expect it to be lower than 1000 roubles. around $20.

Anyway, don't hesitate to PM me if there are any questions about any of the decisions you make.

Your help is highly appreciated! I figured SVO would be a better choice so I am trying to arrange flights. I might have to bother u in the future as I really know nothing about travelling to Russia:embSwan:

Aeroflot always flies to SVO. :)

And bother away as much as you like. Not only you!!!

Unfortunately, no, they aren't open. Anything being open and available goes against the grain here, you know...

:sadPooh:None of OP is open to public? Even including sessions on events days? No gala rehearsal neither? God I miss SC now:hachimaki: Looking at the bright side, if OP is not available for watching that could save me some money on hotels; at least I dont have to arrive on Wednessday for Thursday's pratices.
