Matteo deserves the bronze but I wish Keegs had medalled at his last SC! - couldn't the judges have made it a draw??!

Kao!!!

It’s mathematically possible that two silvers doesn’t make the GPF but very unlikely. We shall see!

I hope I will get to witness Keegan winning gold live in Espoo GP :wink2:

Almost everything slayed, from the costume to the choreo to the performance.

Saw the picture of the costume and instantly remembered, blame my half a sleep brain for forgetting🙈🥴.

On this note, good night, off to bed😴

Frankly I really missed Yuzu from the competition tonight.

Me too....something is definitely missing with no Yuzuru, he brought such a wow factor to comps in so many different ways

Tonight I'm actually missing  his face the most. The intensity of his gaze, the way he closes his eyes and enjoys the breeze on his face from the speed of his own skating, the giggling with his coaches....all of it.

Gaining power from KFC + raw fish combo, this kid is STRONG LOL.

But also, Yuzu probably was screaming at him from across the ocean for his utter lack of veggies LOL.

.....but what we are NOT missing is his face in the K&C when the (rigged) scores come up, he did the right thing, but of course we are gonna miss him at competitions, for always probably.

Shoma perfectly continuing the legacy of Nathan Chen. That was one hell of empty program, and he is still JSF's darling, because I saw some of his most terrible jumps in years but not the worst scores for them.

Kao needs a lot to focus on. He will have 3 years to improve, he has the basics and improvement is possible. He is the best jumper among all current japanese skaters. He has what Yuma dreams about having and obviously Shoma never had. A rough diamond.

Anyway, that was a very meh competition overally, except for Rika's comeback and Rinka's gold.

Look even when that happened, Yuzu's face is still his face . Of course I don't want to see him disappointed with yet another wrongful score. But I still want to see him

Hoooh kay, hold on, somehow Young You ended up with the highest SS score of the night (why is it abbreviated to SK now?).

In my book it would have been Kihira > Watanabe > You.

PS: I never knew Watanabe had a knee surgery as a junior.

Rinka has guts :tumblr_inline_n18qr5lPWB1qid2nw: She really loves figure skating.

After all, when I see skaters' love for figure skating in their performance, it impresses me and makes me emotional.

Junior Career

2016-17 Season

Developed a cartilage avulsion in her knee in July. After undergoing a 6-hour surgery to graft bone from her hip bone, she came back at the Tokyo Championships in September. At the Tokyo Championships, a regional qualifier for the National Junior Championships, she fell on all jumps in the short program due to the post-surgery effects, and missed advancing to the free skating.

After the season, she transferred to Aomori Yamada Junior High School and moved her training base to Vancouver, Canada.
