February 2, 20224 yr Not sure yet, but Shoma, Yuma, Kaori and Wakaba may be competing in the team event. I was thinking Yuzuru might take the part of SP as he performed it only once so far. https://news.yahoo.co.jp/articles/f83465c28ba461280bd7f2fdeba35d41162e7fce Brian and Ms. Hamada will be attending the Korean Team. https://news.yahoo.co.jp/articles/25941a05448d65ddc71044bd58eac5b3ea0cb7ed https://news.yahoo.co.jp/articles/120de4ac18c1fe643c9b8320e06f95ce203f239c Brian was registered as a coach in the Korean Team also in Pyeongchang.
February 2, 20224 yr Alexandra Stepanova and Ivan Bukin can’t make it for the Team Event, so… will SK skate four programs or will Diana Davis become OGM in her very first senior season?

February 2, 20224 yr Yuzu has taught us many things in the past years and patience is definitely one of them I hope everything is according to his plan, and he trains well in Japan - fingers crossed that he'll arrive safely in Beijing soon. Maybe before the weekend so that he can still practice on the main rink, before the individual event starts on Tuesday. All these Covid-related news are depressing sigh. I hope Keegan gets well soon and will be allowed to go to Beijing if he's feeling well and his tests are negative. He could still do the individual event, but it'll be close. It also means Romsky will have to do both SP and FS in the team event. I think Germany will probably do the Team Event without a pair, and if Nolan tests negative they could do the individual event, they still have more than 2 weeks. Stepanova/Bukin's absense is a bit mysterious, but I hope it's not injury-related. S/K might not do both the RD & FD in the Team event and if that happens Diana and Eteri could really be Olympic champions in ID

February 2, 20224 yr uhm, my interest in team event plummeted because a certain troll is skipping it, but I will still be rooting for Kaori&Waka and M/K to get their sweet oly medals (still, will spare myself the whole getting up in the dead of the night thing for now. Yay for my health!) I feel sorry for skaters who tested positive. Can't imagine how it feels when what you worked for so many years risks vanishing in front of your eyes because of something as sneaky as an airborne virus... tho maybe I feel less bad for Keegan than for Kolyada and other skaters... Zuzu not doing team means I still have a handful of peaceful nights of sleep ahead, at least ngl, I would have liked to see him doing team SP but I also see the upsides of not doing team at all. I just hope his ankle and other body parts are 100% fine and not in need of painkillers, that he is well trained and ready. I need to see Yuzu walking on his own two legs and theb skating on his own two feet asap really hope he doesn't wait till the very last minute to get there, with the isolation and test requirements. Trying not to think that we're gonna have Roncapu and Tenchi with 4A international debut at freaking Olympics. Somehow I'm brainwashing myself into absolute trust and faith, but this is probably the most accurate depiction of the state of my mind for Russian team ID, I expect nepotism couple to go (and get gold) Eteri hasn't been outrageously politicking for them to miss the only realistic shot they have at medals, even if at Euros the politicking surprisingly wasn't as strong as the rest of the season... also, S/K are the best shot for individual gold for Russia, would they tire them out in team? in ID they do have some rest inbetween team and individual event, but iirc they have had some less them perfect physical condition this season, so that typoe of considerations might factor too. Pairs individual event is the last one, so a Pair can skate both team SP and FS without issues. All 3 pairs are basically equally strong, and all have shot at individual podium too, so there would be less need to make two different pairs compete to maximize the skaters getting medals. Actually, same situation in ladies, but I still expect Rusfed would rather pick two different ladies instead of two different (and probably equally unpredictable) boys (even if Men's individual event is the closest). Teams can switch in two disciplines max, right? I'm expecting Kamila SP and Anna FS. Evne if they make mistakes they're gonna be placed in 1st I just want Waka & Kaori to skate well so they can safely rank above the US skaters in both segments Happy to see Juulia&Matthias heading to Beijing, hoping everything will go smoothly for them Now gotta write down the schedule for Men's individual event&practices (I already wrote it till feb6th, now gotta do the rest). Zuzu where are thou?
February 2, 20224 yr I share this here too: Twitter user @ MyMissRight_twt asked me to help spreading a list of hashtags that are hoped to be trending over the next days: Feb 04, 2022 SOAR HIGH! #がんばれニッポン #羽生結弦 #YuzuruHanyu Feb 08, 2022 TIME TO FLY #FlyYuzu #羽生結弦 #YuzuruHanyu Feb 10, 2022 FLY YUZU #羽生結弦選手の夢が叶いますように #羽生結弦 #YuzuruHanyu I don't know if the first theme for Feb 4 is still up to date if Yuzu doesn't compete in the team event, but I added it anyways.
