At this rate, not getting COVID is a win in itself

Yuzu is wise to focus on individual event

Save energy for 4A

Lovely to see you again, @sublimeskating :img_21:

:congratualtions:

They do daily testing for covid right for the athlete? What will happen if after a few days of testing suddenly the test is positive?how about the other skaters that did the practice together in the rink? They will be exposed too.Mostly  the skaters will skate their full program without the mask and if its Omicron it is highly contagious

Yes, it happens. They have test every day. And you could get positive suddenly. If you get, you have to get negative two times in 24 hours and 48 hours tests. If you have 2 positive tests, that's end. It is so cruel and unreasonable.

Staying shorter at the Village is better.

Today, team Japan did not come to practice.

So tomorrow! It seems they did practice until yesterday, and there is almost none of time difference.

It is nice.

If you mean World Standing then Yuzu's is higher than SHoma's. If season ranking then yes, Shoma's is higher. Is it specifically mentioned somewhere that TE selection must be based on that latter?

I don't think the TE selection has anything to do with the rankings. It think it usually has to do with who would strategically be better for a certain competition within the event, who's in better shape etc.

In the case of Team Japan, I believe it was Yuzu's decision to not participate in the team event and save his energy for the single competition. If he would've wanted to take part, there is no way he wouldn't have been sent. It's all a part of his plan.

On one hand I feel sorry for him. On the other hand, he is a known antivaxxer. If he got Covid because of the latter issue then who is to blame?

Keegan is an antivaxxer? Man...

I'm surprised non-vaccinated athletes would even be allowed to enter the country. I suppose there are exemptions like medical reasons and stuff. But still, isn't there a mandatory quarantine for non-vaccinated people?

It is, unless for underaged skaters, which is why Kamila, Anna and Alexandra for instance can enter China.

While Keegan most likely had his vaccines so he could at least enter Nationals, I'm just very annoyed at him being an antivaxxer and then bringing his daughter to freaking Nationals despite what was going on.

Like I said, it's unfortunate that he has Covid despite getting jabbed. BUT, I'm just so, so annoyed.

I still try to process that of all the 23 step sequences listed in this chart, only four had a lower or equal raw GOE than the sequence in 4CC Ballade. FOUR. And it could only beat two of Ns SP step sequences in this Olympic cycle. TWO.

Wherever the soul of Frederic Chopin is, he must be so pissed about this.

Seeing it with the numbers hits different...
