[2022] Winter Olympic Games (04.02-20.02) - Practice, Fluff and all the In-betweens

In a similar note it's nice to see Yuzu being sensible about covid (not that I really expected otherwise) some of the other athletes/coaches are being pretty lax about it I reckon and it's a little disappointing to see

Honestly I'm really happy just to see he's in good condition

Guess I've become so paranoid about him being injured or something else going wrong with his health. Feels like I'm still traumatized from 2019 and 2021 Worlds. It's one thing for the 4A not to be there yet, but at least everything else looks good

Someone mentioned it before - JSF and the ISU probably can't handle this much pretty, hence the "hate" LOL

if I'm going to be honest, a lot of the resentment smells of pure jealousy

Jackie really did a full report on Yuzu's practice session with the help of "trusted folks". Meh.

Same, I'm so happy he looks in brilliant form. Whilst some facets of social media etc are hyperfocused on his apparent 'failure' to make progress with 4A they're completely neglecting the fact that all of his other jumps are looking beautiful and incredibly smooth.

And this is why I get my jump runthroughs through other Twitter handles instead

Too soon. It’s already tonight. :dpooh:

He has been careful to steer clear of everyone outside his bubble so it would be weird if he was approaching them at the rink. It would also be disrespectful to Cha Jun Hwa to be distracting his accredited coaches at an official practice.  I’m glad he’s not hammering this practice after spending 4hours on a plane yesterday.  I look forward to his performances with interest .  Weirdly calm and dissociated from it all.  As for what the media have to say - just don’t read or listen to it.  We could all write their scripts in advance , we know what they will say and we know what lies behind it.  Just ignore them.

Exactly. They probably resented him (and continue to do so) because he's been doing what they (or their favorites) could not, will not, or were too afraid to attempt. And without even trying - just being his amazing, natural self on the ice - he acquired himself a legion of followers that none of those that came before him, and since, ever did.

Some changes in the StSq

- the dipping the head low movement in the first few seconds is back (yay me)

- the running back movement after that is replaced (sad me)

- some added movements after and at the end it looks like he is offering the sword to someone higher up.

ALSO if Vincent tested positive and as a result couldn't go to TE medal ceremony no offense but why on earth was team USA allowed there at all? Given that they were all close in the kiss and cry/are in the same accommodation, there is risk of transmission so why weren't they isolating until tomorrow to be on the safe side

According to the rules, athletes in close contact with a person who has tested positive for COVID-19 can still continue participating
