But - I just want to understand clearly - that verb is 'to swim' to the present negative, right? So, doesn't it translate with "I don't swim", which could either mean that he doesn't like to, or that he doesn't know how to? Edit: I just checked the inflection and since '泳げる" is potential inflection, that is better translated as "I can't swim", so you are right He said that he doesn't have the potential to swim... weird though! Such an athlete he is, and with those legs muscles he's shown us recently, I bet he would swim pretty fast too!

I don't think it's the potential at all

Ahlai
The first skates I've owned in nearly 20 years are due to arrive in the next couple of hours and I literally cannot concentrate on anything else. I've just started up Sims4 in an effort to distract myself but I know I'll be playing with one eye on the clock and all the windows open because our doorbell's so freaking unreliable and I can't miss this delivery!!! Edit: THEY'RE HERE!!!!!

kitsune
After passing through a marathon of fancams I'm beginning to love them , it's a different view of official camworks. Talking about official camworks I thought the worst camwork was the World 2015 but the World2017 was also bad so I think I'll leave them tied . Hydroblade
I just solved an issue with a web app i'm programming at work and i feel so happy because the deadline was tomorrow and i had it on time I'm usually very fast to do the things they ask me but this was a very complicated thing and i was getting an error that i didn't know how to solve and i had spent almost two weeks trying to add that new feature someone even came to ask me yesterday how it was going (lowkey pressuring me i guess lmao, doesn't help that i had to take a day off on tuesday because i've been a bit sick) But it's done, and my soul feels calmer now
sallycinnamon
I was at a very interesting exhibition today, its name is 'The invisible exhibition'. It was about to experience how blind persons live their everyday lives and and the aim of it is to learn more about them by asking questions and having discussions about everything connected to blindness. We had a guide who lost his sight when he was in his 20s. He helped us to find our ways in complete darkness, and we could only touch, hear and smell things for more than an hour. The first 5-10 minutes were very unusual, but then my mind stared to adapt to the situation more and more. When we talked about watching sports in general, he told us that he likes watching sports in TV but it depends on the commentary which sports he is able to follow and enjoy. Without asking him about specific sports he told us that figure skating is one sport which is very hard to follow because the commentators don't speak about the programs very detailed. He usually watches Eurosport where it is common that commentators don't speak during the programs too much. It was really sad to hear that even he enjoys listening to the music of the programs, he can't see the elements, he could only sense the atmosphere by the reaction of the audience... At the end of the exhibition we learned about the Braille writing and we could practice on type machines too. I am happy that I went there, it was totally worth it. CiaoCiao
I'm going to spend my holidays for 3 weeks with no wifi or internet connection. No Yuzuru and no Planet Hanyu. I don't know if I'll survive.
