trying a jump is different from training???

Yes it is. Training would mean continuously working on it, which he is - luckily - not doing, as Nessie is dangerous and this season is dicy as it is, plus he has another new quad he's training, so if he has to, and apparently he cannot contain himself  then a jump here or there is bound to keep him at least somewhat satisfied. That's what he means.

ETA: None of this is in any way Nathan's fault, he seems to be a good kid, like Shoma is. All these 'wars' are manufactured for clickbait more than anything else. We should stop giving them those clicks and call them out when they get really inappropriate, like they were here. Though Nathan needs a costume. Just any costume. I'll take a bad costume now. Any. Just... costume, please!

I wish they have a tiny medal ceremony for costumes too, then we can finally see more decent costumes in the Men's field!  Look at the other 3 disciplines and learn  from them please!

So true. CBC is like a troll going "U mad, bro???" to Yuzu fans. They just want attention.

We're very mad.............at you for irresponsible journalism, if you can even call that journalism!

He just asked to be drowned in gifts and letters. He’ll probably never see the light of day again. Even someone like me who never sends anything to anyone so as not to bother them will be sending too much.

I've not considered sending him stuff because I don't want him to feel more overwhelmed than he is...but sounds like he wants to be drowned by more gifts. =P Be careful for what you wish for and now I'll need to think about what to send him.

Hi everyone!

I've been a Yuzuru fan for almost 4 years and often used the GS forum to voice my support for Yuzuru. I signed in the GS forum today and was confused with the new Yuzuru fanfest and lack of posts after the CoR, but now I know why :smiley-love017: Thank you for making a forum that is solely dedicated to the one and only, Yuzuru Hanyu. Finally, we no longer have to deal with the hate back at GS :party2:

Welcome to the Planet!!! :satellite:

About retirement, I don’t think Yuzu will retire until he feels that he CAN’T improve anymore. We all know he loves the sport, loves competitions so much that he wants to stick with figure skating as long as possible. As long as he feels he can continue to improve, i’m sure he will remain with us. That’s why I always think that only after PyeongChang can we know if he will continue. Until now, I’m sure he only focus on practicing for OWG without think about retiring. So we have to wait until after OWG to know his intention. Of course, as a fan, I always hope he will continue to compete at least two next seasons.
About COR, I think the biggest issue he has to deal with is his stamina with a difficult 5-quad program. That is why towards the end of performance, he becomes slow and sloppy. Also, he needs to concentrate more while competing. Once he’s able to solve these problem, we will definitely see great performances from him.
P/s: Forgive me for my poor English. I haven’t learned English for a long time. So hope you guys can understand my thoughts T.T

Your English is fine! =D

I feel that after Yuzu gets his 2nd gold at PC, he'll no longer be fighting for gold...he'll be fighting for perfection (by his own standards), just that gold will very likely follow a stellar performance.

I haven't grown as a skater and this makes me frustrated and angry.

Brian, Tracy, Mama Hanyu, please knock some sense in this stubborn boy!:free-random-smileys-161:  Tell him that having rooms for improvement doesn't equate to a lack of growth!

Also mad on behalf of the poor fan whose crying face was shown. On tumblr someone was scolding that fan for being "spoilt" and saying that seeing her crying will hurt Nathan's feelings, which is awful since that fan didn't ask to be publicly broadcast and was basically exposed to this kind of attack by this irresponsible journalist.

"But I as a skater need to challenge myself with different things, be nervous, and skate until my legs are totally exhausted, which is what makes me happy..."

Well... if he is happy doing this... then I will face competition nervousness with a whole other awareness next time! (next time being in three weeks... uh-oh...)  :sadPooh:

Yes! She shouldn't have to justify herself on weibo!  And the person scolding her is the "spoilt" one who got his/her feelings by her tears! I doubt Nathan will care because in sports, whenever you win, you will disappoint your opponents' fans. It's just the way sports is.

Sorry to offend some of u Americans here (if any) but those crappy news are just literally how Americans are. They like to make fun of people especially after they "prove" themselves as the best. And u know screaming they are cheated or the world being unfair or having 12367884422 excuses for losing. What's new

Offend away  please !!!!! This North American resident as well as many others are sick of their juvenile trick :anger:
