Speaking of Yuzu's blades, are we sure after all he's getting some black blades? He didn't seem to have them in the open practice.

Same actually. I just feel like I would be disturbing Yuzu. If I met him in a private setting where there's no danger of him being flocked after my initial approach there's all the more reason to just let him be. I will just write him (although that is proving to be a challenge by itself, no words seem to be adequate in comparison to what I want to express) and hope my support reaches him under his own conditions- when he decides to read my letter and not when he might be forced to be polite in a setting that could potentially give him discomfort. I think we can't really compare him to other skaters in this respect. Yuzu's popularity is on a whole other level (and my feelings for him a tad bit too intense to have a level headed conversation with him in a limited time frame lol)

 

I have met artists before where I ended up gushing abt them and their work but Yuzu is an athlete and not a celeb. While I do hope we are a support to him... he doesn't really "need" (for lack of a better word) us for his craft. But well, maybe I'm taking all this a little too serious haha

 

eta: I will have to meet him to know what I will do once I meet him tho. If the situation is right and there's encouragement from Yuzu's side things might go differently... but most probably it will just be me staring at him and silently crying from afar haha

Hey, the world needs people like you and me, otherwise there'd be a line around the earth following these people. The only way I'd approach or write is if I had something worthwhile to offer.

They did get his name embossed on it, so my guess is he probably choose not to use them. He doesn't know what those blades are like vs. his usual after all.

Also are the black blades they made.for Yuzuru parabolic?

He had like 6-8 pair of boots with those blades, though. From that John Wilson making of instragram post. Seems weird to make that many if he didn't specifically request new blades (and they just made them black for special value). The blades did seem blackish in that video but it was a B/W video so...

I don't think that blades are black. The ones he usually uses has black parts. The lighting in the video just makes them seem all black imho.

Wilson blades really need to update their website. Their hall of fame still only lists Yuzuru as the 2014 Olympic and World Champion. Okay, did 2017 WC just not happen? Same with 2016 WC since Medvedeva's title hasn't updated to include 2016 nor 2017 WC.

Not at all. I feel I need more time to get ready for the madness that are awaiting us  

Downloading every Japanese radio app I can find until I find one that broadcasts this station. If anyone else knows how to listen, please share!

Off topic, about Yuzu's mom: I think without an agency his mother acts as his semi-manager. She probably helps him arrange his schedule, give him suggestions, advice and other stuff managers (and mothers) do. Of course Yuzu inspires me but his mother (and tbh his whole family and the people of hometown who protects him) are such goals.
