There has been an uptick on media coverage about Yuzu this summer. Older fans can attest, I really don't remember this much "official" attention in years, feels very Pyeongchang. His team appears to be doing a very good work of it.

Media exposure is very crucial for his future development in pro-stage. Yuzu knows how to deal with media, get exposure he wants, shape his public image, etc. TBH, I've never seen any other public figure doing this better than him. Really proud of our kitten.

July 19 actually very much felt like PC again! It was much sadder and bittersweet in a way ofc but the gathering of fans and media and the outpour of love and support really took me back to PC days. I never doubted it one bit that media would continue to follow him around especially now after emphasizing so many times that he isn’t actually retiring and that this is the beginning of something new. I’m so happy he’s continuously gathering the interest of the media which is really much more important now that he’s turned pro and this time there may be less tears (I say less because he’s only human and he will still have his own bad days!) to hide when being interviewed.

oh really? i wasn't there to experience how amazing PC days, but if this is the same as that then at least i can experience the feeling of Yuzu's "triumphs" and that experience is truly great :tumblr_inline_ncmif5EcBB1rpglid:

Dear Ice Rink Sendai,

Continue restocking the Irene gloves. You will never be short of funds or affection for the rink.

Please consider building a new and larger rink, with spectator stand for shows and regional or national competitions. Keep the old rink for practice sessions.

Yours sincerely,

P xx

(Just my tuppence worth of advice/opinion. Please don't be offended)

Fans may feel closer to you on YouTube. Is that your intention as well?

I hope to try various things on YouTube. I hope the channel will give a special sense of closeness and excitement because of the fact I’m the one who will be putting on the shows there. I can’t give you specifics yet, but I would be happy if fans feel something special ― something that was unimaginable while I was performing as an amateur.

As shared by the user, it seemed like new news. I have learned not to trust the tweet and go directly to the source.

The truth and the travesty is that the judges, referees and technical specialists absolutely understood Yuzu’s “true magnificence” and blatantly under-scored his brilliant performances and over-scored the non-brilliant performances of his opponents.

With all due respect (the operative word being “due”) to his rivals whom we know without having to name them, how can you honestly compare their skating to that of the G.O.A.T.?

Expand

Totally agree. They know its magnificence just as much as they know they can't use him. That is why they did not hesitate to blatantly manipulate the ratings and (weak-minded) "true FS fans" opinion against Yuzu. They didn't even bother to look for someone even remotely worthy of being called a rival.

What is happening and what is to come is another sign that Hanyu Yuzuru is not a product of chance. His intelligence and his ability to understand the environment and how to move in a favorable way for himself will make him even greatest legend.
