While his exquisite outward toepick creates the wonder of 0 prerotation, it makes it extra hard to complete rotation at the landing as the momentum at the take off must complete a few more degrees than inside toepick (ie. When he lands well, it's actually slightly >4 rotations). On the other hand, inside toepick can "cheat" some degrees on ice. No doubt Yuzu's 4Lz has always been on and off, he has chosen the hard path from the start.

Then he'd have to come back next year.  But this is very serious news. I'm glad the ISU isn't taking any risks though.

The judges should automatically disqualify any 4Lz that doesn't look like these two. Not even joking. This is what 4Lz is meant to be.

An incredibly rare species of a quad jump that must be protected from extinction. It's too beautiful to disappear from the landscape of figure skating.
